Middle school, it's been 7 years since I have reincarnated, and I'm currently attending middle school or attending the opening ceremony as I sat in the middle of teenagers that are twice my size.
I just finished a speech which made the whole auditorium awkward as a seven year old kid made a speech to kids of 12 to 13 years old.
I quietly stared at my hands before wiping them on my pants, reminding myself of the blood I had to wash off.
The mixed feelings of guilt, fear, and anxiety were still felt today, Mediation, gamers mind and my spirit attribute is able to keep those feeling at bay for now as I focused that and other hobbies to keep my mind occupied.
No one noticed my presence as I used my skill stealth.
I felt like I didn't want to be seen, especially since I was just on stage.
" Welcome to the Soumei!" The principal finally finished his speech as everyone clapped and stood up from their seats.
I followed the crowd and found my classroom.
I sat at the very back of the class and waited for the teacher to stop talking.
I looked outside of the window towards the birds that sat on a branch.
" Next." The teacher announced as I stood up.
I sat up as the kid next to me had already introduced himself.
" My name is Haru Sorahiko. I like reading, playing music and other sorts of hobbies. And I dont like...." I didn't finish my introduction and sat back down.
" And you don't like what?" The teacher asked.
" It's nothing." I replied.
The teacher didn't seem to mind as he started to talk about today's topic since I was the last to introduce myself.
My experience in the dungeon has never left my mind. As I still have some nightmares about it.
" Look at him... acting all high and mighty."
" Tsk."
Comments entered my ears as I had gotten used to other people's jealousy.
Getting introduced to the school and its faculty, school ended as I took the train home.
I looked at a man in the distance. He looked like a suspicious man, which is why everyone on the train made distance from him.
I ignored him and sat up as the train opened.
I walked out of the train and immediately headed towards home carrying my bag.
But the wind and the beating in my heart told me to go in a different direction.
I sighed as I pivoted my foot towards that direction.
Hopefully, it was a cat stuck on the tree or something.
In a few minutes, I faced my nemesis, an alleyway.
My fingers twitched as I was reminded of that alleyway dungeon.
But ingnrking the sense of fear and anxiety I walked inside turned the corner to see the same man on the train trying to force himself on a girl.
Seeing the way he tried forcing himself on to her and the way the lady tried fighting back reminded me of a zombie trying to take a bite from a survivor.
Plutch!
Before I knew it, my pocket knife found its way into the man's neck before stabbing his head repeatedly like I would to a zombie.
The man's arms, which were split like tentacles, fell to the ground. The woman's glowing hands stopped glowing as she stared frozen at the dead body.
She was completely frozen that I thought she had a heart attack.
But no, she fell back unconscious.
[ Ding! Penalties have been met.]
[ Ding! Hero Title removed.]
[ Removed from hero faction]
I blankly stared at the panel and sighed as I looked at the pocket knife before throwing it into the inventory.
I changed my clothes and switched it with my secondary uniform.
I killed a man again, and it was to save a woman, yet she may experience trauma after this.
And I hoped, hoped that she wouldn't be able to remember this experience.
I looked at the dead body before kicking it.
" Fucking!...sigh." I sighed as I looked at the clear sky.
[ Ding! Please choose a faction! ]
" Anti-hero." I muttered as the panel responded.
[ Ding! You have chosen Anti-hero...]
[ Ding! Requirements not met! ]
" Hm?" I looked down at the panel and saw a requirement.
[ Kill 5 villains ][ 1/5 ]
I stared at the panel for a few seconds before leaving the area by using wind gust to push myself to the rooftop and ran home.
Jumping towards my room, I carefully moved my plants and entered my room through the window.
I quickly entered the bathroom and started washing my hands.
The blood flowed into the sink.
After a few minutes of scrubbing and washing, my hands finally became clean again.
' I should get some gloves...' I thought to myself as I sat on my bed and closed my eyes.
Meditating takes a lot of focus, which means i have to empty my mind and let it focus on my entire being.
I wouldn't realize it, but my body would relax and start resting.
After clearing my mind and realizing that this would be my only path from this point forward.
Knock Knock!
" Are you in there, kid?" Gramps shouted through the door.
" I'm studying!" I shouted back as Gramps grumbled and walked away.
I looked at my system to see Heroic Aura was gone.
Sighed in regret before hanging my clothes to a more free and comfortable.
I put on a jacket and quickly escaped through the window and propelled myself to the rooftop.
I quickly parkoured across the roof and ran towards the dungeons location.
A few minutes later, I stood on top of an old warehouse.
' So cliche.' I thought as I looked into the broken window.
A portal swirled in the middle of the warehouse as it dropped down and landed safely with the wind element.
And as soon as my foot touched the ground, the portal disappeared, and man stood in its place.
[ Ding! You've entered an open dungeon.]
I tilted my head at the panel before sensing the danger in the wind as I quickly quickly dodged a sword.
The man proved to be very agile as he used that momentum to spin and attack again.
I pushed him back with the wind and created some distance from him.
The man slowly walked as I felt his eyes scanning me as I took out my staff.
I met his blank gaze as he moved his arms and threw something to the ground that created a smoke screen.
[ Ding! Defeat the anomaly! ]
[ Rewards: ???, ???. ]
" Bad timing!" I shouted as I used the wind to push the smoke away, but it was too late as the man had disappeared.
' Damn it! I should've confused him the moment we locked eyes!' I got mad at myself for missing the opportunity.
I turned around to see if the man or ninja would sneak up on me.
I waited and waited, but nothing.
Just when the thought of him escaping crossed my mind, I quickly swung behind me to head the staff clashing with the sword.
My eyes widen when the sword chipped a piece off the staff as I quickly pulled it back and hit him with the other side of the staff.
The ninja used his leg knee to block the attack and grabbed the staff as he lifted his sword upward.
I took the pocket knife and stabbed the side of his chest before pulling the staff and kick him as he was pushed backwards.
I sent a wind slash at his chest cutting through his skin.
The man used another smoke bomb and j countered with a gust of wind blowing the smoke away.
The man was revealed as I jabbed at his wound on his chest and turned the staff to hit the side of his head.
Pokk!
He fell to the ground as i quickly sent another wind slash at his head, cutting it in half.
I stared at the gruesome scene before the ninja started turning to ashes.
The man dropped his sword and I grabbed it.
I put the staff into my inventory as I wield the new sword.
[ Wakizashi ]
[ Attack Damage: 125 ]
[ Durability: 798/800 ]
The portal appeared again as I saw two ninjas stepping out.
I readied myself as I held the wakizashi. It felt weird to wield the sword as I tried to get familiar with it.
" Come on then." I gestured at them as I felt the adrenaline coming in.
The two ninjas rushed in as I quickly sent a gust of wind to the other that jumped and blocked the second ninjas attack before shifting my balance and cut his wrist and legs before sending a wind slah at his neck.
I kicked him to the side to block a sword attack that cut through his shoulder.
The ninja started turning to ashes as I used that cover to stabb the sword into the second ninjas eye and through his brain.
I stepped back as I watched the two ninja turn to ashes.
I looked at the portal again, which summoned four ninjas.
I exhaled and lowered my stance and waited for then to attack.
' This is going to take a while.'
