Old Master Tan looked at the woman seated opposite him and sighed inwardly. It had been long since he last saw anyone from the Yan family. Even, when his granddaughter suddenly brought that boy from the Yan family home, he had been taken aback.

It had been more than a year since Tan Mo suddenly came home one day, with her eyes all puffy and red. No matter how much he asked, she didn't tell him what happened to her. But, he noticed that since then, Yan Jing did not appear around her anymore.

Old Master Tan suddenly heard, breaking him away from his flashback.

He looked up and gestured at the teacup that had just been placed before them by a servant a moment before. "Have some tea, Mrs. Yan."

Zi Mei took a glance at the teacup before looking back at the older man. She forced a smile. "No need. Thank you, Elder Tan."
