Chapter 191: A twist in the tale

The Frostweaver's defeat at Xander's hands dispelled the ice magic that had plunged the Dreamscape into an unending winter. The clouds dispersed at once, and the mist cleared away, allowing the warm rays of the midday sun to touch the barren plain.

What once looked like a snow-laden wasteland miraculously sprang back to life. Flowers bloomed over the fields, and the withered trees sprouted fresh green leaves and juicy fruits. 

The carpet of dry yellow grass was replaced by a coat of vibrant green sprawled with colorful wildflowers and weeds. As the scenery changed, so did the sounds. The harsh croaking of the Arctic Thrush was replaced by the twittering of swallows and Red-tailed Sparrows. 

Within a few seconds, the Dreamscape changed from a wintry hell to a grassy green terrain leaping with life. The temperature gradually rose, warming every hut and barn and waking the ferrets and groundhogs from their long slumber.
