Chapter 213: A fair trade

Xander never expected to run into the Whispering Wanderer inside a random Death Nightmare, but it seemed like fate had other plans. The merchant was eager to sell his wares to the Dreamwalker, and this time Xander had enough shards and coins to afford some of the pricier goods in his stock.

"How did you find me? Do you just keep wandering across every Death Nightmare, or is this somehow special?" Xander asked.

"I wander across the Nightscape, passing through myriads of nightmares. But I do not follow Dreamwalkers. I only go where fate wills," the merchant replied. 

Xander swiped his system panel and opened his inventory to view the shards and coins at his disposal.

The merchant too, clapped his hands and allowed Xander to gaze at the wide selection of goods he had to offer.
