Chapter 50: Whispers Inside the Coffin

Darkness fell upon Alex as he descended into the void. There was nothing beside or below him except the screams of Tina, Liv, and Rel'Tir. Alex pressed the urge to yell and controlled himself, trying to assess the situation. He searched his surroundings and saw Bogath's light below. The orc was descending fast, probably holding the lieutenant in his arms.

After a couple seconds, the light stopped.

"Bend the kne—" He shouted, performing the action and hoping for the others to follow his advice. He hadn't the time to actually complete the phrase, and he was on the ground.

The pain in his legs and knees was immense, but he was able to complete the movement and roll to the ground. 

"Argh!" He grunted, slowly getting up and verifying that he hadn't broken any limbs. Close to him, he could hear the screams of the others. Rel'Tir's voice was the louder, while the girls only moaned with pain. Alex darted in the boy's direction.
