Tina's voice echoed through the stadium, and after she finished, everyone was clapping. There were no screams or cheers, just clapping, as if they were watching the end of a good spectacle. 

Alex moved the tusk to his neck and made a throat-cutting gesture for Tina's father, who flinched two steps back. Coward, Alex thought as the orcs began to speak again. 

"The people have decided. On behalf of our good Empress, we have a challenge. Seven duels, and No-Wounds Valther will be free. Is that what you want? Our prisoner is free to marry a princess of Valinor! What a great day to be alive!' 

Then the people started to scream again. 

"Yes! Yes!" Orcs and White Elves united in one chant. ]
