Chapter 1: Chapter 01
I opened my eyes and found myself in a completely different place, I don't know what I am doing here, I became desperate and tried to move, but I can't feel any of my limbs. I am slowly calming down and trying to understand my situation.
"Did I die? Or have I been kidnapped?"
The last thing I remember was driving my car on a highway and there seemed to be a white light in front of me... I think I heard a honking noise... From that fact, I think the answer is already obvious. Well, it's not as if I haven't already achieved most of the things I wanted to achieve while I was alive, so I guess death is not such a big problem at this point...
But more importantly, what is this wooden ceiling? Am I inside a hut? And that noise... is rain!
I try to look to the sides, but I am not able to move my head. After much effort and patience, I finally manage to see a little bit of my surroundings. Apparently I am in fact in an ordinary wooden house...not much in it, just some furniture.
But what is that strange smell? It smells like iron, but a little stronger...is it blood?! But from where?
It was at this instant that I felt something wet my back. My body is still lying face up, so all I could do was move my head to the other side.
"AAAAACK?!"
If I could move my body, I would have jumped up and down in awe and fear! Why are there two bodies lying on the ground? And on top of that they don't look like they have just been killed?
I start to search everywhere my field of vision can reach, but I don't notice anyone else besides me and these two dead people. Now that I notice, the blood already seems to be completely cold, so it has probably been a few minutes since the deaths of these two... The killer is probably already gone, or so I hope!
I need to get up immediately to confirm my assumption, an evaluation based only on what I can see from a distance is very uncertain!
I tried to move my arms as much as I could, but to no avail. The farthest I could go was to make them tremble and nothing else. What do I do now? Do I keep trying until I finally succeed?
*Plink*
"Huh?!"
I just had my second scare since waking up! A blue screen appeared right over my face while displaying a single message...

Self-healing? Hibernation? So that's why I'm feeling my eyes heavy...I guess I don't have much choice left....
I fell completely asleep after a few seconds.

When I open my eyes, I immediately try to move, and without much difficulty I manage to stand up. I scan all the places that my field of vision covers, alerting myself as much as possible to any kind of danger that might arise.
I don't know what happened while I was unconscious and I have no idea where I am, I can't afford to relax or make any slip-ups.
Apart from me, nothing seems to be different from what I was able to observe earlier, even the noise of the rain didn't seem to have diminished. Is this a good or a bad sign? If no one has come here so far, there can only be two reasons: Either the rain is making it impossible to move around outside, or I am in an isolated place....
Either case represents a bad situation for me. I'm in a house with two dead bodies on the floor and my clothes stained with dried blood... Furthermore, I have no idea where I am or even if I am safe staying here.
Looking around more calmly, I decide to go through the furniture in search of supplies or anything that might help me. The whole place seems quite simple, with only one extra room besides the one I am in now.
It didn't take me long to search the entire house, but all I could find were some canned foods, water buckets, raincoats, and some old clothes that apparently haven't been washed for some time.
"I think I can manage with those things for now..."
Now all that remains is to inspect these bodies. They may contain some information about what happened here and maybe help me find out where I am.
A man and a woman, probably a couple and both are in their 30s - 40s. Both have bladed wounds on their backs and a puncture wound in the abdomen, so they were probably killed without much resistance... This was not simply a coincidence, whoever the killers are, they don't care a bit about clearing evidence or anything that proves their identities, as if this is just a trivial act that will not generate consequences...
What kind of shit is going on here? Have they taken me to a conflict zone?
"What should I do... It's going to be dangerous to stay here any longer since I have no idea when some kind of confrontation might break out, but I also have no idea where I am and not even if I could survive should I wander around aimlessly... What a shitty situation."
Also, what do I do about these two bodies? Do I bury them somewhere? They are already starting to stink...
I decide to go outside to look at my surroundings, I need to understand what kind of place I am in and check if it is possible to locate me or get information.
"What the fuck..."
There was nothing but a multitude of dark clouds, heavy rain, and wet earth. The ground is completely flooded with so much water that has been absorbed and I can't see any other houses near mine. I am in the situation I feared the most: isolated and in the midst of heavy rain.
I think the only positive in this is that the soil is absorbing most of the water and preventing it from entering the house, but even that won't last for long. I might not even be able to bury those two and have to leave them in the house....
I have to analyze my possibilities as a whole, first - I can stay inside the house, and try to somehow bury these bodies and wait for this storm to stop while I take advantage of the resources in here, but be constantly on the alert and fearing that the killer will return at any moment or someone will break into the house.
Second - I can leave this place and wander around in search of some nearby town or village while carrying food and water in a bag, maybe I can get information about where I am and possibly how I got here, but I don't know how long it would take me to get to any of these places and there are high chances of getting lost or running out of supplies.
Regardless of which one I choose now, I will still have to leave this place at some point... Shit...
