Chapter 1: A Place Similar To Ours Yet Not: Belle’s Birthday

Somewhere, there is a world just like ours. But it's not our world. There's people and places similar to our own and skies the color of roses. And there's magic!

Yes, you heard me! Magic!

All over the land, you can see plenty of wondrous sights with shades all over the spectrum of colors. It truly is a beautiful place to be!

But not all places in this world are the same, however. In some corners of the land, the darkness thrives and trouble blooms. In these places, evil lies waiting for its next victim. You best stay away from these towns. You hear me?

Anyways, back to the story....

On this planet similar to ours, there's a child being born. It's parents, Willow and Bartholomew, have been expecting for some time, hoping for their own little blessing from God. And it had finally came.

When the child emerged from the mother's womb, it let out a healthy cry. The parents rejoiced at the sight of their newborn kin.

The handmaiden then dried the child's embryo fluids off and declared the child's gender. It was a little girl. She was soon swaddled in a soft and cozy blanket, which was then handed to the mother.

When Willow looked into her child's eyes, she immediately fell in love. She started at the small girl in front of her like it was the only thing in the world. And the child smiled.

Bartholomew, also wanting to see the newborn child, leant closer to his wife. He saw the child and thought that this little girl looked so much like her parents. He, too, fell in love with the child.

And as was the custom of the time, the father would always choose the name. While still looking at the little baby, he spoke the name aloud. He called her Belle. So, Belle became her name.
