Cael thought he turned out to be a pretty good teacher. He lacked the patience required to explain the same things over and over, using different words and metaphors in order to make people understand—but that was his only hurdle.

Admittedly, it helped to have talented students.

New recruits of the Extermination Group were not some greenhorns, but already established fighters and mages. Even Suhail the ejderha dabbled in magic, although he always more relied on his ingrained abilities in a fight.

Despite the abrasive personalities of some of these people, they were professional enough to work together. Cael just had to pair the more aggravating ones with more patient ones.

As for the teaching itself, like Cael promised, there weren't many things they needed to learn.
