If someone asked Cael, he was a better singer than Dieter. The other man certainly held his notes well, and had an impressive vocal range, but he put little to no emotion in his singing.
But others didn't mind, and any singing would drown out the snowstorm as long as it was loud enough.
No one attacked each other again, and that was enough.
An hour and a half later, the mana maelstrom finally abated. The glow of mana inside the ice shelter went away, and the oppressive feeling of invading mana disappeared with it.
Everyone sighed with relief, even though the storm still raged on the outside. The simpler artifacts went alive again, and first spells followed immediately after.
