Chapter 70: Norn and Ruigerd part 2
I was petrified on the spot
In front of me were Ruigerd, my childhood travel companion, the most reliable person I know, Norn, my clumsy, aged sister with tears in her eyes, and a young girl from the Superd race... I guess she's the one called Luciela, huh?
-I can't believe it....brother?!....is it you?- Norn said with tears in her eyes slowly approaching me, but stopped dead and looked at Ruigerd

Ruigerd looked at me and smiled warmly.

-Thanks, friend- I replied with a smile
Luciela on the other hand seemed in shock
-Aunt Sylphiette will have another child?!- she asked incredulously.
-Hehe, it seems so- Sylphie said with a smile
Luciela turned paler than she was and dropped onto the sofa.
-another son...another cousin....- she murmured
Norn stopped hugging Sylphie and hugged me
-Congratulations on your new son, brother!- she told me with a smile
I returned the hug affectionately
-Thanks Norn, and I see you've had a happy life too- I said, stroking her head.
-Hehehe, yes, a very happy one- she answered looking at Ruigerd
Hah....for some reason unlike Aisha, seeing my little sister and Ruigerd together gives me an incredible feeling of happiness...I guess it's because of how much I trust Ruigerd, right?
-Hehe, ever since Rudy came back, the family gradually grew with my new baby and Nanahoshi- Sylphie said

Norn's embrace tightened and her smile disappeared.
-I'll go see the Stew- Ruigerd said getting up from the couch quickly
-I'll help you daddy- Luciela said getting up and following her father.
-Brother...what does Sylphie mean when she says that Miss Nanahoshi is now part of the family?- Norn said in an angry tone
-eeeep!, Hey, well Norn, you see, Nanahoshi had been in love with Rudy for a long time and now that she revived, she and Rudy are going to get married- Sylphie said in panic.
-And you and Roxy are okay with that?- Norn asked.
-Of course! You know we have Rudy under control- Sylphie replied
Norn can do nothing but let out a long sigh and shake her head in resignation.
-I guess you'll never change huh?- Norn said looking at me reproachfully
-I didn't make the first move!- I said trying to defend myself
-Yes, yes, whatever you say- Norn said with a frown and separating from my hug

After a few hours of catching up we met for lunch, luckily Norn was making a delicious stew and we all ate it.
Shortly after, it was time to leave and Ruigerd offered to escort us so as not to risk further attacks from the invisible beasts.
-Hey Ruigerd, I want to make you a proposal- I said as we walked through the forest.
-Hmm? What's wrong? What do you need? - he replied.
-As you know, Laplace will be reborn in a year, we want you to lend us your strength for the battle against him- I said.
Ruigerd tensed visibly at the mention of Laplace and stared at me for a few moments but then he smiled at me
-I had already planned to do it anyway but of course you can count on me- he said
-Thank you very much Ruigerd- I said as I extended my hand for a shake.

We made it through the forest without much incident, Ruigerd easily dispatching a couple of invisible beasts along the way but nothing we couldn't have handled on our own.
We said goodbye to him at the outskirts of the forest, Ruigerd returned to the forest and we to the city promising to return when we had time.
Something that caught my attention about the city is that they live with the ogres of the ogre island as if they were their citizens but nothing out of the ordinary.
*meanwhile back in Superd village*
-I'm back- Ruigerd said entering his house
-It's okay, dear- Norn said, approaching him and kissing him affectionately.
Luciela was currently lying on the couch with a lost look.
-What's wrong, honey? Is something wrong? - Norn asked, somewhat worried.
-Huh...did you see my uncle?!, he looked more handsome than usual!- Luciela said enthusiastically
Norn put on a new look of disgust at this and looked at Ruigerd who seemed unfazed.
-Are you still doing that? I thought it was just a phase- Norn murmured, stroking her temples.
-Mom, Dad, let me marry Uncle Rudeus!- Luciela suddenly declared.
Norn was dumbfounded at this and Ruigerd just raised an eyebrow.
-Luciela Superdia Greyrat, what kind of requests are those?!- Norn said with anger and disgust
-Please mom, can I be one of your wives! - Luciela tried to object.
-Your uncle already has enough with 3 wives!- Norn said now very upset
-ugg..dad tell him something!- Luciela asked desperately
-hmmmmm Rudeus has been a great benefactor of mine for many years and is a man to whom I am in a very deep debt...- Ruigerd muttered thoughtfully.
-Oh, by Millis Ruigerd! Don't tell me you're seriously considering it! - Norn shouted angrily.
Ruigerd shuddered in fear at this and came back to his senses.
-You're right, Luciela, if you want to marry your uncle, you'll have to beat me first! - Ruigerd said taking his spear
-You can't be serious!!- Norn screamed so loud that his neighbors heard him
That night Ruigerd slept on the couch and the next day Luciela had a duel with him only to lose miserably.
