Chapter 364: First, Second, and Twelfth

"Dammit! Damn them all! It's like she knew I would attack her. She made use of the lightning in the Rigged Pass to help her!" The human screamed in fury as he retreated into a tunnel, noticing a couple of lightning bolts strike at the place he had been standing upon just a moment ago.

Once he calmed down, he frowned, "It feels like I am staring at the Third Calamity. Anything that feels like it would rely on chance or anything that has multiple variables always worked in his favour. And now, the lightning bolts too did that. None of them landed on her, but perfectly destroyed all my attacks, preventing me from catching up to her."

He then thought further, shaking his head, "No, it doesn't seem entirely reliant on chance. She was using those rocks to attract lightning towards her and picked a rock that attracted the most lightning bolts. The reason I failed was because of that."
