Chapter 191: Door to the real world

Door to the Real World

The rumor spread like wildfire. Throughout Aincrad, news of a mysterious door that supposedly could transport players back to the real world had changed the atmosphere. On the 70th floor, thousands of players were scattered, each hoping to find the door, hoping that the rumor was true. Among them were Kirito, Klein, and the members of the Fuurinkazan Guild, Egil, and the rat Argo.

Kirito stood at the edge of a busy street, looking around carefully. Players from various guilds had gathered, forming small groups and discussing the rumors.

"I can't believe we have to do this again," Klein said, scratching his head. "Let's hope it's not like the last resurrection equipment event."

"If there's a chance to go back, we have to try it," Kirito replied firmly. "I won't let this chance slip away, even if it's like the last Christmas event."

Egil, who was checking some items in his inventory, added, "But we don't know if the door really exists. This could all just be a rumor."

"Rumor or not, we have to find out," Argo, who was standing next to Egil, looked at Kirito. "We can't just sit there. If this is true, then we can get out of this game right away."

Klein nodded, excited. "Alright, let's start our search. Where should we look?"

#### Exploring Floor 70

They decided to split into small teams to explore the 70th floor. Kirito and Klein would explore the northern area, while Egil and Argo would comb the southern part. They agreed to regroup at midnight to share information.

"Look, there are a lot of players over there," Klein pointed to a group of players gathered near a giant tree. "Maybe they have some information."

Kirito nodded, and they approached the crowd. As they got closer, they heard several players discussing the possible location where the door might appear.

"I heard that the door might be in a hidden cave near the waterfall," one of the players explained. "It's said that there are ancient symbols carved into the cave walls."

"Ancient symbols?" Kirito asserted, drawing the crowd's attention. "Where exactly is the cave?"

The player explained the location of the cave, and Kirito immediately committed it to memory. "Klein, we have to go there."

"Alright, let's go!" Klein replied excitedly, and they hurried towards the mentioned location.

After walking for quite some time, they finally arrived at a beautiful waterfall. The roar of the waterfall filled the air, and beyond it, they found a faint cave entrance. The cave walls were wet and shiny, with light reflecting off the waterfall.

"This is it," Kirito whispered, feeling a tightness in his chest. "We have to go in."

They stepped into the dark cave, lit only by the light of simple light magic. Inside, the cave walls became clearer, and Kirito could see the ancient symbols that the previous player had spoken of. The symbols shimmered faintly, as if they had a life of their own.

"Look, there's something here," Klein pointed to one of the larger symbols. "What is it?"

Kirito moved closer, touching the symbol carefully. As his finger touched the surface, a bright light radiated from the symbol. The light that radiated from the symbol grew brighter, causing Kirito and Klein to close their eyes for a moment. When they opened their eyes, they saw a door made of light, gleaming with shades of blue and gold. The door looked inviting, yet it also filled them with fear and doubt.

"Is this… the door we're looking for?" Klein asked, his voice shaking with a mixture of tension and hope.

"I think so," Kirito replied, staring at the door seriously. "But we have to be very careful. We don't know what's on the other side of this door."

Klein nodded, though he could feel the tension in the air. "Should we go in?"

"Yes, we should," Kirito replied firmly. "This might be our only chance to return. We can't let fear stop us."

Klein took a deep breath and nodded again. "Alright, let's do this."

With one firm step, Kirito stepped forward. He grabbed the doorknob made of light and turned it gently. The door opened with a soft sound, revealing darkness beyond, as if another world awaited them.

"Ready?" Kirito asked as he turned to Klein.

"Yes," Klein replied enthusiastically, though there was a hint of doubt in his eyes.

They stepped into the darkness. As soon as they passed through the door, the atmosphere inside felt completely different. It was no ordinary darkness; it felt as if it was filled with an energy they couldn't explain.

Slowly, the darkness began to fade, and they found themselves in a place that was both unfamiliar and familiar. Before them was a landscape they hadn't seen in a long time: a neighborhood of tall buildings and bustling traffic.

Bright neon lights flooded the streets, creating an energetic atmosphere.

On the sides of the streets were various shops selling anime and manga-related goods, from figurines of favorite characters to rare merchandise. The noisy sounds of amazed customers, as well as the bustling maid cafes dressed in cute costumes, added to the unique feel of the place.

"Kirito, this is Akihabara, isn't it?" Klein asked to confirm.

"Yes, Klein, this is definitely Akiba. That means we are now in the real world," Kirito said excitedly.

"Yayyy.... it worked, we finally got out of the game!" Klein cheered.

"Kirito, let's tell the others" Klein said excitedly as a man walked through his body and stunned them.

"Hey, Kirito, I don't know if I should tell you. But it seems like they can't see us and even though we're back in the real world, we can't seem to interact with anyone. We're like ghosts now" Klein said shakily.

Kirito fell silent, contemplating Klein's words. The idea that they might not be able to interact with the real world as they wished was very upsetting. "So, we're stuck here with nothing to do?" he asked, frustration starting to creep up on him.

"I guess so," Klein replied, still glancing around curiously and anxiously. "I can't believe we're here, but we can't talk to anyone. It feels really weird."

Kirito nodded and thought about what they were going to do next. They were in the real world, the place they had missed so much while trapped in Aincrad. However, that feeling of joy soon faded when they realized that they couldn't feel or interact with the world around them.

"Don't be depressed, this is better than being stuck in Aincrad, at least we can check on our family's condition" Klein finally said, his eyes sweeping the area around him.

"You're right, Klein" Kirito replied.

"Then let's split up, I'll go back to Aincrad and inform the other players. You can check on the real world situation" Klein said before re-entering the door of light.

Klein quickly walked towards the door of light that led him back to Aincrad. As he passed through the doorway, he felt the familiar sensation of the virtual world.

After returning to the 70th Floor, Klein hurried to the agreed meeting point with Kirito, where many players were still gathered discussing rumors about the mysterious door. He looked around for familiar faces, eventually spotting Egil and Argo chatting near a bench.

"Klein! You're back!" Egil greeted enthusiastically. "What did you find? Is there any good news?"

"Yes, there is good news! Kirito and I found a door to the real world!" Klein said, his voice shaking with excitement.

"We're already in Akihabara! But there's one strange thing..."

Argo frowned, "What do you mean? Why is there something strange?"

Klein took a deep breath before continuing, "We can't interact with the world there. We're like ghosts! People in the real world can't see or hear us."

The surroundings suddenly became quiet. All the players who heard the news fell silent, shocked by what they had just heard.

"So, we can go back, but we can't do anything?" Another player asked, disappointment clearly visible on his face.

"Yes, that's what happened," Klein explained.

Klein looked around, seeing the hope and doubt on the faces of the other players. "We can't let this opportunity pass us by. This is the first step to returning to our real lives!"

"How about we all go to that door together?" Argo suggested. "There might be a way to interact or see other people, we just need to find a way to solve this problem."

Klein nodded in agreement, feeling his spirits return. "Yes, we should tell everyone. Let's gather the other players and take them to the cave near the waterfall."

Soon, Klein and his friends began to walk around, calling out to the players who had gathered around. He explained the important news with enthusiasm, and slowly, a crowd began to form. Curious players gathered around, listening intently as Klein shared the story of finding the door to the real world and their strange experiences.

"I know it may sound impossible, but we can return to the real world! We just need to find a way to interact with our surroundings there," Klein called out, trying to build up some spirit and hope among them.

"Can we really go back? And is there a way to experience the real world?" a player asked, looking doubtful.

"If we stick together and try to figure it out, we can definitely find a way," Klein replied confidently. "Let's not give up! We have to try."

The crowd began to whisper and discuss, excitement spreading among them. After some time, they all agreed to go into the cave and try to find out more about the door and the possibility of interacting with the real world.

Klein felt proud of the collective spirit among the players who had initially seemed hopeless. With renewed vigor, they rushed towards the waterfall, determined to find a way out of this confusing situation. Deep down, Klein knew that they had taken the first step toward freedom, and he would do anything to help his friends escape the world that held them back.

.....

News of the discovery of a door to the real world on the 70th floor soon spread throughout Aincrad. Tens of thousands of surviving players rushed to the location of the door of light. After the discovery of the first door near the waterfall, other doors were soon discovered in various locations throughout the 70th floor. After arriving in front of the door of light, without hesitation, they stepped inside, determined to return to the world they had longed for, where their beloved families awaited. Although they knew that interaction with people in the real world was impossible, its presence was enough to soothe the longing that had been burning after more than a year of being trapped in this deadly game.

Thousands of players of various races appeared on the streets of Akihabara and various random places. If the public were to see this scene, they would surely think that another world was invading, with the diversity of races that had only existed in their imaginations now filling the city. The players could not hold back tears of joy as they saw their familiar surroundings again. This emotional moment became a symbol of hope and return, a step towards freedom after more than a year of being trapped in the world of the death game.

"Hey, look at the sky!!" The shouting voice of a player immediately interrupted the moment.

In the clear blue sky, black dots began to appear, moving quickly towards the ground. Although they were far in the sky, because they were currently in the game's Avatar state, they could see very far. As the black dots drew closer, hideous shapes began to appear. The creatures had large bat-like wings, a pair of curved horns, and a sharp, gleaming tail. Their appearance was so terrifying that anyone who saw them couldn't help but think that they were demons that came from the darkness.

When the demons finally landed with a thunderous sound, they roared in a terrifying voice, as if challenging the world. Among the crowd of pedestrians, confusion immediately turned into panic. Some people tried to record the incident with their cell phones, thinking that it was a movie shoot. However, all hopes were dashed when one of the demons suddenly attacked, brutally killing a middle-aged man nearby.

"Ahhhh!...." A scream of terror echoed in the air. The citizens who saw it immediately ran in panic, trying to save themselves from this unexpected threat.

Meanwhile, the SAO players who witnessed the chaos were stunned for a moment. They couldn't believe what they saw. However, their survival instincts and fighting spirit soon rose. With a glowing sword blazing with fire, one of the players ran towards one of the demons and managed to cut it down. The success of the attack surprised everyone, because they had never been able to interact with the real world while in the game before.

"I don't know what happened, but guys, let's attack these demons together! Don't let them destroy our world!" shouted the player who had just defeated the demon. His voice was full of enthusiasm and courage, raising the fighting spirit in the hearts of the other players.

"Ooooo!!!!" the cheers of the other players echoed, raising their weapons into the air. They immediately ran towards the demons, determined to protect their world from a threat they had never imagined before. In an instant, the battle between the SAO players and the demons began. The gleaming swords and the roars of the creatures filled the air, creating an atmosphere full of tension.

However, this chaos was not limited to Akihabara. News of the demon attack soon spread throughout Japan, causing panic in various cities. The demons seemed like a plague, spreading from place to place, wreaking havoc wherever they landed. The Japanese defense forces, the JSDF, were quickly deployed to deal with the situation. Heavy tanks and helicopter gunships flew at high speed, trying to hold back the attack and protect the people.

Amidst the chaos, the police also moved quickly. They instructed residents to immediately evacuate to the nearest earthquake shelters. The sound of sirens and warning cries filled the air, adding to the eerie atmosphere in the threatened cities. As news spread, the world's attention was drawn to Japan. Other countries began to prepare, warning their citizens to stay alert for the potential spread of these seemingly unstoppable demons.

As time passed, the demons' attacks became more widespread. They were not only targeting Japan, but also began to spread to other countries. In every corner of the world, people were caught in panic and fear. The demons seemed to have unfathomable power and numbers, turning once-safe cities into terrifying battlefields. Many tried to fight back, but faced with supernatural beings, they as mere mortals could only be defeated in an instant. The army could only retreat while maintaining a defensive line while facing the demons.
