Synopsis
It's been done before and you can more or less tell what the story will be about by looking at the Title. You know the drill, OC Self Insert #64237 gets sent on an isekai journey with overpowered gacha powers. This time, though, there's no Gamer or System shenanigans (for the most part) and the adventure starts in the RWBY-verse. I wonder how long it'll be before the hypocrisy sets in?
As of September 22nd, 2024 you can read this story on here, Fanfiction or Royal Road. I have a bunch of other author pseudonyms on like five different writing platforms, but for the purposes of uploading this story — and because, honestly, I've forgotten the username and or passwords to a bunch of the aforementioned accounts — I will upload on Fanfiction as Geng Xin and on Royal Road as Bright Dawn.

Story is a bit of a nothingburger. Meanders around alot; no real plot to speak of; no end goal / motivation to do anything for MC; protag's backstory and system/world 's rules keep changing at the drop of the hat; no real character interactions; author can't decide whether protag is a SI or a separate character; constant nerfs where main character is bulletproof, has aura, a semblance, chakra, magicka, reishi (with both shinigami and hollow forms), DBZ ki and a ton of durability enhancing passives, yet somehow manages to get pierced by an ordinary arrow from an unenhanced human with a regular bow; <...>. Overall kind of a mess.
constant updates, good world building, character development and so far the MC hasn't become a heartless killer Op harem king. The fanfic is amazing, I would like to see more interactions and please author-san, don't give up on this wonderful fic.

Not an isekai. The Mc wakes up without memories, meaning they have lost their sense of self. They are a blank slate and have no memories of the world they came from or who they are. To be an isekai, there must be a first world they travel from to arrive at the second. Without memories he isn't the same person who left the first world meaning the person who left the first world died, and the Mc in the first chapter is essentially born jnt he first chapter. This is coined as Amnesia-kai. No different than the farmboy start. The entire reason the isekai genre works is due to relatability the reader has with the Mc. This comes from the Mc having lived a life on earth the readers can relate to. None of that exists here. We get a bland Mc we care nothing for and have no ability to relate to. Very low quality.
