Lin Yihang sat in front of his office desk, the drawer on his right open, a tiny sealed bag in the corner holding a very common black hair tie.

Lin Yihang couldn't possibly use such a small accessory; it clearly belonged to a girl.

His thoughts drifted to an art class years ago, where she had to paint with ink and thus removed the black hair tie from her wrist to tie up her hair.

Somehow, she hadn't handled it properly, and the hair tie had sprung from her hand, landing right on his drawing paper.

She looked around anxiously for it, while he silently pocketed the hair tie, playing the role of a "greedy" kidnapper of property.

He hated her to the bone, was so disgusted he wanted to vomit, yet he kept the hair tie as if possessed, never disposing of it to this day.

He told himself it was a symbol of humiliation he once endured, certainly not a token of remembrance.

Whenever he saw the hair tie, he reminded himself of the hurt she had once inflicted on him.
