Chapter 101: A shock to her system

Lady Carlene was exhausted but still managed to feel relieved when they finally made it home without any further delays. 

Her heart was in her throat and she couldn't ignore the voices in her head or the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.

That said they were going to arrive too late and she would only reach in time to go home to her younger brother's lifeless body.

Sayid had to lift her up and carry her inside because she felt so weak to the point of collapse.

From barely sleeping those last few nights as well as having ridden straight to their residence with hardly a break had taken a toll on her pregnant body.

Somehow Aiden knew the moment they had arrived and was there to greet them at the door. 

Hugs were exchanged but Lady Carlene just wanted Aiden to get straight to the point.
