Prologue
"Mattttttt…. Stop no! Matt, please listen to me. It's not you.
This is not what you want" Ella's voice roar in the night.
Ella slowly walks toward Matt.Alerto ang lahat ng nasa paligid.
Everyone is in position. Isang maling hakbang niya at isang maling kilos
ni Matt everything they work for will vanish like smoke in the air.
"Please Matt, stop this, you should stop. Look at me.Look no one else
but me"May pagsusumamong sabi ni Ella bagamat alerto rin ang dalaga.
Ibang Matt ang kaharap niya ngayon. Ibang iba sa Matt na nakaniig niya
dalawang gabi pa lamang ang nakakaraan.
Matt, raise up his face, stop what he is about to do then looks at Ella with
a burning eye. With anger in his eyes, he growls in disgust and grinds his
lavishing teeth. In a howling voice, he speaks.
"This is what they want me to do Ella. This is who I really am."
"So, move away, Umalis ka na sa lugar na ito habang maaga pa.
Run before I slash their throat with my bare hand."
Nanlilisik ang matang sabi ni Matt.
Galit siya sa mga sandaling iyon Galit siya sa mundo, sa mga tao.Pero ang
babaeng nasa harap niya ay mahal ng kanyang buong pagkatao.

Chapter 1
"Cheers" sabay sabay na kampay ng kanilang cold beer sina Ella at ang grupo
Ella nito sa advertising department. Nasa isang exclusive bar sila for company
Dinner.Nakantiyawan sila ng tropa para mag blow out for today is a big day of her.
Executive assistant na si Ella after 3 years of hard work and perseverance. Matindi
ang competition sa kanilang kompanya. You should beat the best of the best to be
considered for a promotion.
Marami ang inggit kay Ella for this promotion. bago pa kase siya sa kompanya kung
tutuusin at kung Ikukumpara sa mga datihan ng empleyado ng kumbanya. But she believes in working your butt rather than go with the flow. But despite her haters madami din naman ang sumusupota sa kanya at naininwala sa kakayanan niya.
Ella is living a Life of a millennial woman. Single, successful, and Alone. She has been in her apartment for almost 6 years. Yes, matatag ang samahan nila ng kasera niya
bukod kase sa mabait ito at hindi bungangera, she pays on time. alam na alam niya
that money talk all the time.So wala siyang problema doon.She has a sister but is
living with their relative sa Bohol. Pwd kase ito deaf so hindi advisable dito ang
manirahan sa Manila and to live alone with her. So, with again money talk pumayag
ang kanyang tiyahin na doon na ito sa kanila paying the right price. Their parent passes away after she graduated from college. Bagyong Undoy ang kumitil ng buhay ng mga magulang niya.
"Mam Ella, the night is young let's enjoy" sabi sa kanyan ng isang collegue saka siya
niyaya sa dance floor. Masayang sumama dito si Ella with other office mate joining
them. She wanted to enjoy and why not. She has been working her butt on this promotion.
"Bro, buti na lang dumating ka" bati ni Brix sa kaibigan si Toffe then do their
group handshakes. Then iginala ang paningin.
''Where is Matt" nag aalalalng tanong no toffee. Itinuro ng nguso ni Brix si Matt
na nasa isang sulok ng Bar. He's seemed drunk. Dalawang babaeng mukhang
tambay ng bar na eto ang kausap ng kaibigan. Ang by looking at them lasing na
nga ang kaibigan.Nilapitan ni Toffe si Matt at pinaalalahanang maghinay na sa
inom dahil lasing na ito. Matt looks up to him with a puppy yet reddish eye.
"You're here bro, have a seat, and let's enjoy the night it's my birthday remember?"
niyaya ni Matt Si Toff. Umupo naman agad ang binata sa tapat ng table ni Matt.
Ang isang babae na panay ang himas sa braso ni Matt ay lumipat ng atension kay Toffe.Nakaramdam ng uneasiness si Toffee lalo na ng maamoy ang pabango ng
babae.He hates woman's scent.
"Why so stiff bro relax and enjoy, late ka na nga eh killjoy ka pa" sita ni Matt sa
kaibigan.Hindi eto kumibo, Tumitig lang kay Matt.
He knows why Toff is acting that way. He knows very well what it's all about. Hindi
nya ito makakalimutan siya pa ba. Never dahil kinasusuklaman niya ang mga iyon.
Lasing na siya pero gusto pa niyang uminom. Nais ni Matt na magpalango sa alak like there is no tomorrow. Yes, he wanted no tomorrow. He hates waking ups every day.
Tumungga ng beer si Matt at nagtungo sa restroom. Papasok na sana siya ng ng male
rest room ng may maamoy si Matt. Napakabango nito, humahalimuyak.Isang uri ng
amoy na nagpapasigla sa kanya.
Hindi namalayan ni Matt na sinunsundan na pala niya ang halimuyak na iyon.Nakita ni Matt ang sarili na nakatayo na siya sa labas ng pintuan ng lady's room.Kulang na lang
ay singhutin niya ang lahat ng babaeng lumalabas mula sa loob. May Ilang babae na
ang dumaan pero wala sa kanila ang halimuyak na kanyang kinasasabikan.Lumipat ng puwesto si Matt. Sumandal sa kabilang dingding taliwas sa angulo ng pintuan. Mas
amoy doon ang halimuyak na iyon na tila ba nagdududlot ng bagong lakas para sa kanya.
"Where is she?" naiinip ng tanong ni Matt. It's been years since he smelled something like this. It was almost 9 years. Matt pauses for a while. Yeah, it has been nine hell years.
Hindi malaman ni Ella kung anong nangyayari sa kanya. Okey pa siya ng pumasok
ng cr. After gumamit ng banyo tinagka niyang maghilamos. Medyo oily na kase ang mukha niya. Kinuha niya ang kanyang pressed poweder but then she suddenly feel dissy.Parang umiikot ang buong paligid niya.malabo namangn lasing siya dahil puro ladiers drinks lamang ang ininum niya.
"Sheem! What happening to her?" hindi naman masakit o makirot ang ulo niya.
She is so dizzy Or to be specific she feels really sleepy.Nilabanan ni Ella ang
Werdong pakiramdam. Slowly she walks out of that cubicle.
"Holy cow! What the hell?" halos mapamura pa si Ella ng magulat sa malaking
bulto ng katawan na nabungaran niya sa pintuan ng Cr.
"What the heck is he doing here?" tiningala ni Ella ang bulto para lamang lalong kilabutan sa makikita. The man is looking at her intensely. His deep green eyes were immensely drawn at her. She knows she pretty enough to gain this attention pero diyos ko naman hindi naman normal na titigan ka ng ganito sa pinto ng cr.
"Kanina pa ba ako pinapantasya nito? sinundan ba ako nito?Is he a stalker?" Sa pagkabigla ay hindi nagawa ni Ella ang humakbang palayo ng pintuan.
Mas lalong tumindi ang halimuyak at lalo itong nagpapaintense sa pakiramdam ni
Matt. That scent is driving him Wild.Napakalapit nang amoy at humahalimuyak ito
ng sobra. Matt fixed his self. So, she is a woman with a beautiful scent. Tinatagan
ang sarili kailagan niya ng matinding pagpipigil sa sarili upang hindi makagawa ng
isang bagay na pagsisisihan niya.He needs thousands of self-control this time.

na siya ng dalaga.
"Excuse me sir! You're blocking my way" magalang na sabi ni Ella. The man is huge at nakaramdam siya ng konting takot sa mga titig nito pero ayaw niyang bigyan na lang ito ng ibang kahulugan para na din sa ikakapanatag ng kalooban niya.

ng dalaga sa lalaking kailangan niyang tingalain para lamang kausapin.
Matangkad ang lalaki.If she's not mistaken he is about six ft. tall and with a broad shoulder. Medyo malamlam ang ilaw ng hallway at nakatalikod pa ito sa ilaw so she could not see his face clearly.Basta malaking lalaki ito tapos!She heard the
chuckles and smirk then perhaps smile. And to her disbelief. He even widens his smile and looks at her with amusement.
"Oh Jesus, this man is weird" bulong ni Ella sabay layas. Pinilit niyang pigilan ang
iritasyun.At ayaw niyang masira ang kanyang mood. It's her night. Dala ni Ella
ang inis hanggang pagbalik niya sa kanilang table.
Nag panic si Matt ng mawala ang amoy ng babaeng kanina lamang ay nasa harap
niya. Did he piss her off? Did he do it again. Did he scared her or annoyed her.Hindi malaman ni Matt kung ano ang mararamdaman ng mga sandaling iyon. Malaki ang nagiging epekto sa kanya ng amoy na iyon. The last time na nakaamoy siya ng ganun
ay noong mag 21 years old siya.
Pagbalik ni Matt sa kanilang lamesa ay agad hinanap ng kanyang mga mata ang

The crowd was screaming in terror. They were all in panic. Matt heard some noises and rush step moving out. He can also smell powder guns and
heard heavy breathing. Someone taps his shoulder. it was Toffee.
"Dude let's get out of here!" toffee is asking him to leave the place. But Matt could not even move his feet. He saw a shadow, he saw Silhouettes. He smells their sweat, but the woman's sweat is much more powerful than anyone else.
But what makes Matt more uncontrolled is the fact that he smells fear in woman breath. He can hear her heartbeat. And it is telling him that the woman was
scared to death.
Nagulat sina Ella ng makarinig ng malakas na pagsabog. Pabalik na sana sila sa
kanilang lamesa dahil nagpanic na ang iba ng bigla naman namatay ang ilaw.Mas
lalong nakaramdam ng panic ang dalaga.
"What is going on? Brix, Sol guys where are you?" Pakapa kapang tanong ni Ella. Napakadilim ng boung lugar at nakakamoy pa siya ng sunogna ewan. Mayroon din
usok na dumadaan sa ilong niya. Wala siyang marinig na sagot mula sa mga kaibigan.
Pinilit ni Ella na humakbang paika ika kahit saan direksiyon ok lang may makapa lang siyang tao o kahit anong pwede hawakan.
Nanginginig na kase sa takot si Ella. She has nyctophobia. Extreme fear in darkness
or fear of the night.Kaya nga ayaw niyang nututulog na patay ang ilaw.Hindi naman madilim
ang bar na pinuntahan nila. May mga ilaw ito sa sulok ng table at dim light sa gitna ng dance floor kaya okay lang but total darkness like blackout is hell killing her in fear.
Nakailang hakbang lamang si Ella ng nabunggo niya ang isang bulto. Kinapa kapa ito ng
dalaga sa pag aakalang ang mga kaibigan ito. Then someone from behind her speak in hisbaritone Voice.
"Wag mo ng tangkaing kumilos miss, stay put ka lang dyan.Kung hindi ay gi gripuhan
kita sa leeg ." Sabi ng lalaki sa likod ni Ella.
"Manahimik ka na lang miss kung ayaw mong madamay. Saglit lang to kapag nakuha
na naming lahat ng mapapakinabangan sa inyo sisibat na din kami." dagdag na sabi
pa ng lalaki sa harap niya tulad ng lalaki sa likod malagong din ang boses neto.
Ella was in explicable fear. Hindi na ito nakagawa ng kahit anong galaw.
"Who are these men. Oh Lord what is going on, is it a holdup or a raid maybe.
Where are my teammates, why did they leave me alone here? oh My God."
without thinking properly and because of fear. Ella shouted in despair.
"Help! Somebody helps. saklolo, please police …police." Tili ng dalaga.Naalarma
ang mga lalaking nakapaligid kay Ella ang isa ay bumunot ng patalim at akma
sanang ipangtututok sa leeg ng dalaga pero dahil nataranta ay naimba nito ang
kutsilyo na parang sasaksakin ang dalaga.
Then something from behind came and snatch the man and swung him on the
floor. Some men from the back pulled her and hold her by the neck. There is a commotion after that. Nangangapa ang dalaga sa kung ano ang nagyayari.
Sa Madilim na paligid.Ella stood there in shock. The man in front of her grab her
then and pulled her and force her to walk into the dark. But then suddenly She
heard a soft growling voice and heavy breathing. Ella was in horrific fear.
She has no idea what is going on, but one thing is clear, there is someone out there who was not a villain and were on her side perhaps.
"Let go of her" a loud husky and an almost hoarse voice echoed in the darkness.Pinipilit
ni Matt na pahinahunin ang sarili. Halos isang libong control ang ginagawa niya
wag lamang sugurin ang lalaking may hawak sa babae.
Ella was shocked. That voice comes from a man who she thinks we're in front of
them. The man is so near to her almost a single step away.
Ella then held her breath.
The man can help her. She needs to do something. She has no idea who this is but
She knows he is there to help. She's terrified but at least she has hope that this man can help her. So, Ella then made a swift decision. Bite the hand of the man holding
her kick him and run as fast as she can towards the man she thought was her ally.
But it was a lame attempt. Ella gasped and screamed her heart out because In a
split second the man she bites, catch her by her hair and pulled her back. Ella was surprise and scream to death.
A loud hoarse roar echoed, then a commotion again. She heard table ang chair flip
And body being slam on the floor. Ella thought whoever this guy fighting with this
villain men were huge and strong to be able to be slung them on the floor.
The man must be a huge one. Then a more commotion follows. The hoarse roar
Become louder, she heard the scream of fear and she has no idea why. Ella was
stock and shook in the middle of darkness. She heard footsteps running away.
She wanted to run too but her feet are not moving.
Her body is so stiff she can't even move. She heard heavy footsteps coming toward
her. Then heard heavy breathing. She small a very strong male scent. She feels
dizzy then. She can feel the presence of him near her.
"Who is he, is he her ally or is he another villain?" Ella was almost out of mind.
She is nervous and shaking but she can't even move.
"Get out of here now," the man in a husky hoarse voice told her. But Ella couldn't
move. She can't even speak she in total shock.
"Get Out" the man shouted in his deep tone. How can she speak oh geez? That is
wrong with him. Tears fall down on Ella's cheek. She thought this man is her hero.
She's scaring her instead. She doesn't know what to do anymore.
"Help me please" that's what her mind was saying but could not utter it loudly. Her
heartbeat was slowing down. Oh, Jesus, I'm having a panic attack again.
Matt was in furious mode. He wanted to break all these men's bones and buried them alive. But what made Matt more pissed and madder was the fact that the woman was in total fear. Seeing from afar, that the woman's life was treated made him lose his sanity. Without thinking, he did what he does even though Toffee was stopping him
and reminding him of a consequence. And at this moment like a while ago. He is now in front of this woman who has the loveliest scent.
This woman who has this scent was in total shock. He can hear her heartbeat, fears, and terror consuming her. She can't move he knows that. She's calling him, she is begging for help. Matt couldn't come near her. He can't touch her. Once he did it will be the end of her glorious days. If he touches her it will be his end too. If he touches
her, he then needed to live away from her.
But with his strong senses, he can see the panic in this woman's face. Despite the darkness, he's eyes clearly see the woman's pale face. He can even smell her tears out of fear and helplessness.
She has difficulty in breathing, and it sounds no good. She' is sweating a lot and
choking too. Matt needs to decide. Whether to save this woman's life or not.
Matt twigs his head and smirks in disbelief. Either way around still he will put
this woman's lives in danger.
So, Matt decided to follow his instincts but his a little late. The woman passed
out in front of him. He roars loudly in despair. And carried the woman in his arms.
He holds her tight almost Hugs her and whispered.
"I'm sorry, I will be forever sorry to you from now on," Matt whisper only to
Himself the next word.
"But I can't bear to see you suffer" Then Matt called Toffee and let him carry the
a woman who fainted in fear.
"Please take care of her as you always do, she needs medical attention quickly"
Matt said now in a normal low sad voice.
"Oh, fuck bro, I told you to stay away what now" toff burst out disparately can't
accept the fact that again Matt needs to suffer and sacrifice again for this woman.
"She has that scent bro, you knew that very well, And you're also aware that I
Cannot avoid that. It is part of this shit in me. Just take her out of here please."
Matt taps Toffee's shoulder and turns his back.
"Can I see you again or are you going to vanish again" Toffee voice crack after.
He knows what will happen after this, he knows exactly what will happen.

Even Matt was lost at that time.
Ramdam ni Ella na may bumuhat sa kanya but she is heavily induced by fear.
Narinig niya ang sirena ng bomber at ang pagdating ng mga pulis. May malay na
siya ng lumabas sila ng pintuan at sa wakas ay nasilayan niya ang liwanag mula sa streetlight outside the bar.
He saw a huge man walks away on their side.Likod na lang ang Nakita niya. He's
wearing a black jacket Hindi niya alam what came in to her pero sinundan niya
ng tingin ang lalaking dumaan sa gilid nila. There is something about him that she
can't be explained.Ibinaba siya ng lalaking may karga sa kanya sa medic na
sumalubong sa kanila.
"Sir, she needs medical attention. Hinimatay siya sa loob siguro dahil sa takot"
sabi ng lalaking may buhat buhat sa kanya. His voice is crisps and clear tone.
Nakaamoy si Ella ng masasang na amoy ng gamot mula sa opspital. She frowned and slowly open her eyes. She looks around and sees no one.
"Nasan na po ung lalaking bumuhat sa akin?" tanong ni Ella sa lalaking naka
scrub suit.
"Umalis na po mam, may kailangan pa daw siyang puntahan" sagot sa kanya
ng malamyang lalaking nurse.
Ella was disappointed. Una hindi man lang siya nakapagpasalamat dito.Ikalawa
she didn't even have a glance at his face.3rd she feels empty knowing he just
left her like that.
"Arte mo Ella ang drama oi," ipagpasalamat mong binuhat ka nung tao kung hindi
baka namatay ka sa suffocation sa loob ikalawa baka naabala mo yung tao masyado
kang demanding sita ni Ella sa sarili.
Tumingin si Ella sa paligid. Nagkakagulo pa din at may makapal na usok nga mula
Sa loob ng resto bar. Hinanap ng mga mata ng dalaga ang mga kaopisina. Pero
wala siyang makita isa man sa mga ito. Siguro nung nagkagulo ay kanya kanya na
itong takbo sa takot at hindi man lang inisip na naiwan siya. Sabagay wala namang nakakaalam na may takot siya sa dilim at nagpapanic sa oras na makaranas na ganun.
