Chapter 73: The Risk Willing To Take
Some kind of gas was released from Rudy. Second after, the gas ignited in the form of fire and went to Ryuma. In the form of a line.
"I changed the oxygen into acetylene. Ignite with fire and ignite the air."
Mika decided to stay out of Ryuma and find an opening to reach Rudy but little did he know he didn't see it coming. Mika can feel his whole body freezing inside out. At that moment Mika realized some kind of cold air had already surrounded him.
"Liquid Nitrogen. Exposing yourself to those for so long can cause a frostbite. If burning doesn't work, how about I try the cold way?"
Mika's body is shaking from extreme cold so he tries to get away from the nitrogen. But one step is all it took for him to fall to the ground. Mika can't feel his leg, and he is surprised at what happened to it. The foot separated from Mika. Cause of the extreme freeze, the joint of his foot broke easily from slight movement.
Mika tried to heal his foot but the healing regeneration was a bit slow. Rudy saw it and took a note of it in his brain as he smirked. Meanwhile, Ryuma tried to cut corners and bypass the homing fire that was chasing him.
He managed to pass the fire and sprint toward Rudy but the fire chasing him was faster as it split into smaller lines of fire covering Ryuma on all sides. But Ryuma realized the fire and evaded it and put out the fire with ice and water magic.
The magic creates a smoke as Ryuma runs through it. Ryuma managed to come in close contact with Rudy but Rudy was also aware of it. They both throw their hand at each other. Sometimes the kick was added in as well. They either defend or evade the opponent's offense.
Rudy, threw his fist while Ryuma tried to block it. The punch caused an explosion, the same as Mika got a while ago. Rudy smirked because he thought he was finished but he was surprised as Ryuma dashed through the smoke of an explosion. And hit Rudy in the face.
The secret to Rudy's explosive punch is a ball of air, any flammable air such as hydrogen or acetylene. Lastly, a small fire to ignite the explosion. Which is a fire that comes from Rudy's prosthetic arm.
Using those formulas, Rudy blew up Ryuma for the second time as he hit him in the face. But, that explosion didn't kill Ryuma as he's still charging at Rudy. Rudy realized the reason his body didn't blow to pieces. The skin that's been covered by stone and earth. It protects him from any incoming damage like that explosion.
Realizing this, Rudy throws hands to Ryuma. But that's not all Rudy planned as he changed the air around Ryuma with liquid nitrogen.
("You ignored the presence around you. And that ignorance will lead you to your demise. I already covered you with liquid nitrogen. Soon, your body will fall off like the broken glass. I win...")
That's what Rudy thinks. But that kind of mindset doesn't help him at all. As he got punched by Ryuma... And next another punch. To another punch. Before Rudy realized it, it had become a barrage of punches.
("W-What?! How did he not get frostbite yet? His body should've been in a few pieces by now...") The answer reveals itself. The fire is coming out from his mouth. Soon, his whole body was covered in fire. Protect himself from the outside cold. The risk Ryuma is willing to take in order to get this guy down.
Rudy uses a blue shield from his prosthetic arm to cover himself. At the same time, the fire-covered Ryuma's fist turned red. And bashes the shield whole, going straight to his face.
But Rudy didn't fall there as he stopped himself from falling by his feet and counterattacked using the missiles launched from his arms. Ryuma dodged the missiles by an inch. And keep hitting Rudy again and again. Rudy tried to fend off Ryuma by using an explosive punch.
But, Ryuma has already adapted to Rudy in close range so that he can predict his every move. Ryuma kept his palm on him whenever Rudy tried to blow him up. He dodged every missile he could count. Rudy got frustrated and furious so he decided to blow himself along Ryuma by aiming both of his hands down. But his last resort failed.
Mika who's healed his body from the frostbite sneaked up from behind Ryuma and jumped on Rudy with his giant hammer. And smash him with all of his strength.
"GROUND SMASHER!!!" The impact of Mika's attack causes the whole place to crack. If they'll be in this place for longer they'll get caught in the collapsed rubble.
"Shit, we need to get out of here Mika!" At that moment, something grabbed Mika's arm.
"Y-You?!" Rudy, from its appearance just barely goes out of the way of Mika's massive attack. Although one of his prosthetic arms was sacrificed for it.
"You think that's enough to defeat me? I have filled the whole room with acetylene. Do you know what'll happen after that?" At that moment, Mika doesn't care for himself but Ryuma. Since he believes he can escape with passive healing. But Rudy has thought of that possibility.
Using his prosthetic arm, he absorbs Mika's mana. Mika lost his energy and had his knee on the floor. Soon after, Rudy has absorbed almost all of Mika's mana and is ready to light up the room.
"I just have to tell you but Reality Become Fiction does not affect me. It means the fire in this room won't burn me at all. I'll survive, while you all dead." As soon as Rudy was about to light the whole room with fire, he stopped for a moment.
Was he hesitating? Or perhaps his prosthetic arm has a problem? That's what Mika thought. But that gives time for Ryuma to push Rudy into the hole Mika makes. To the whole bottom floor.
"We need to get out of here! Hold on to me!" Ryuma gives Mika a piggy ride and takes him out of the place.
