I said about ten seconds later after the energy of the runes had covered the Grandmaster whole. The formation is now stopping the curse on acting on cells it had already covered, making it believe that it is targeted the wrong thing.

While the formation was able to do that, it was not able to make it believe in retreating. This means the curse would not leave already covered cells of General, and he would have to continue to provide the energy to the formation till I find a way to make the curse retreat or destroy.

This would be harder than one thinks, as there are several fail-safes in the curse, and they could do a lot of damages to General if I rubbed them in the wrong way.

"General, you will have to continue to provide the energy to the formation, and the curse will not do anything to you," I said simply, not having much energy to say any more words.
