Chapter 442: I Can Eat Her

Mex sighed and ran a multiple-jointed hand through his hair, his frustration evident. "Machariel has been causing a bit of a stir. She's been sneaking around the ship, avoiding the training sessions, and acting secretive. Nixi has threatened to eat her numerous times for trying to stir some kind of a rebellion with Clesh, and the rest of the grandmothers. Not that they are listening to her."

Machariel was a demon that I had brought from the island, but she hated men. Since Mex and I were the only ones on this ship, it looked like she was trying to get the women to rise up against us.

"I am glad that she isn't causing any actual trouble, but I can't leave her like this. If you have a dissenter in the group, it is only a matter of time before someone listens. I love and trust the girls, but I am not going to let this keep up," I breathed out with a sigh. "I had hoped that she would just be grouchy, but trying to turn my people against me is going too far."
