Chapter 440: Beneath the Surface of Deception

Armed with the newly acquired information about Mantoids, their alien origin, and potential weaknesses, I returned to the cybernetic underwater fortress. Captain Chrome looked down from above, waiting for my answer, oblivious to the fact that I now had a better understanding of his true nature.

"Fine, I will hear you out. Tell me about your story then," I said, rolling my hand for him to continue. Now that I had my own information about what Mantoids were, I could better judge how truthful his story was.

From what I knew, Mantoids were led and mostly controlled by the females. Not only that but the men were used as soldiers and kept at a low intelligence. Chrome wasn't lying before when he had said they kept a lot of secrets. The craziest one I knew was how the women ate the males after letting them breed with them. Sometimes even during the act!
