Getting confirmation from the system that he'd obtained the skill he needed, Valyr went ahead and brought up the skill's description in front of him, curious as to what kind of ability it had to allow him to tap into the Shard of Defiance's Resonance Mode.

Though, after comparing it with the skill he got from the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion, the young man soon realized that the effects of the two skills were more or less the same.

"…How would these skills allow me to tap into the Shard of Defiance's Resonance Mode exactly?" asked Valyr to himself with a slight frown, wondering whether Vaughn actually said all that back then to pull a prank on him.

"At first, I thought [Eyes of Enlightenment] was designed that way to act as a foundation of sorts for the two other skills." The frown on Valyr's face deepened. "But now that I've checked [Eyes of Awakening] out…" 

"Are these skills really intended for that purpose?"
