Chapter 1: back in time
waking up, and looking around I saw a room that was about 30 meter Square with a small toilet in an even smaller room.
'why am I here' I asked my self. I moved out from this one-room apartment 7 years ago. standing up I stumbled my way to the bathroom.
looking into the mirror I saw a delicate and skinny boy with green hair that reaches the shoulders.
"this is how I looked 12 years ago before I dyed my hair." when I was young I used to dye my hair brown because I was bullied in school for my hair colour.
taking out my phone out of my pocket I looked at the date. jan 2 2100. t
three days before [second life] came out "in novels things like this only happens when you die, but I only remember going out of my pod and suddenly I woke up here"?
"Shit if I want to play the game again I have to get a pod" I am a muscle head so the only thing I really can do was play games.
pods cost a shit ton of money, and I am just a poor students right now.
"wait a second" one of my bullies, his name was Jacob. he was rich bitch who always gotten lucky with money.
he used to boast about winning the lottery anytime he beat me up. "2568" I said while grinning, that was the number he had won with.
quickly putting on some clothes I headed towards the closest shop that sold lottery tickets. buying the right lottery ticket I scratched it directly after buying it.
winning $100,000 dollars. i quickly turned in the money, I was on borrowed time. the pods are going on sale in 15 minutes.
it existed a few different types of hamming pods, from low efficiency to high efficiency pods. the low efficiency ones only had an 80% optimization rate, while high efficiency pods had an 95% optimization rate.
it's basically the difference of being in your own body or in a body that is double as tall. your body control would suffer immensely.
it only existed 5000 high efficiency pods in the first year of the game, those who got them became extremely strong, so if I can't get one I will only fall behind
getting home I logged into the computer that looked to be 10 years old and quickly bought the high efficiency pod.
it was extremely pricey costing $10,000 dollars. it wasn't meant for the poorer families so it costed an incredible amount of money.
it would take 2 days for it to come here. feeling hungry i remembered that I haven't eaten anything yet, taking a cab to the nearest restaurant, I ate a sizeable meal. stopping by the shop to buy some food I returned home.
