Chapter 269: Donovan's Vulnerability

In the past few days, a major part of his thoughts had been occupied by Silja's thoughts. Thinking that he might not be able to see her again. Yet here she was, sitting just beside him. Her deep hazel eyes glared at him and asking questions about why he betrayed her.

Donovan wanted to raise his hand and pulled her in his arms yet he wasn't strong enough to do that. He was even unable to talk properly without his voice breaking.

Silja's unwavering eyes looked at him wondering why there was no movement from his side.

"Ahem...How did you find this place?" Don asked, clearing his throat.

"Well I have my own resources," Silja shrugged. 

Donovan narrowed his eyes.

"You are quite resourceful even in this place," Donovan commented. Silja just scoffed.

"What are you doing here?" Silja asked once he was done. Demanding the answer.
