"I know the relationships. I asked for your opinion, Jade. As a daughter of one of the esteemed lords you have learned all the rules and regulations of this land, according to that tell me what should I do?" Donovan asked, looking straight into her eyes.

Jade stared at him and didn't know what to say for quite some time.

"I know my opinion won't be of any value to you but please listen to me first. What I want to say is that lord Gracia deserves mercy given his good deeds for the people of the North and favours the king Zachary," Jade pleaded.

That was the reason she came here today personally. She wanted to do as much as she could to save her father.

Given the history between her father and the king, she believed that she would be able to talk it out with Donovan.
