Chapter 451: -445- Guests from the branch family

Tsuchimikado clan, main hall.

Guided by the sparrow, Rozen arrived at his destination, which was here.

"Bang!"

With a burst-like sound, the sparrow that led Rozen turned into a puff of smoke. From it fell a talisman that ignited midway and turned into ashes, leaving nothing behind.

Rozen didn't hesitate even for a moment. He disregarded the peculiar situation and approached the door.

As soon as he arrived, Rozen used his Spirit Vision to see several strands of Reiki swirling inside. There were five strands of Reiki in total.

Among them, four were powerful and majestic. Except for one of them, the other three were familiar to Rozen. This told him that there were three people he knew inside, along with one stranger.

The remaining strand of Reiki was weaker but filled with vitality and radiance, shining brightly, signifying a promising future. It left Rozen impressed.

Evidently, the owner of this Reiki, as well as the one with the unfamiliar yet powerful Reiki, were members of the branch family visiting the Tsuchimikado main family.

Rozen hadn't even entered the door yet, and he already possessed this level of information. It made him marvel.

"Spirit Sight is quite convenient."

Being able to perceive others' Reiki allowed for such insights. Although Rozen didn't possess the traditional Spirit Sight, his magic circuits could convert life force, and his Spirit Vision had undergone a transformation, providing him with the ability to see spirits. This transformation gave him a significant advantage over others.

After all, while others needed to control their Reiki and spiritual energy step by step to refine their jutsuryoku, Rozen could simply use his magic circuits to convert it.

At most, when using jutsu, he added a step to transform his magical power back into jutsuryoku. This was incredibly convenient and fast.

People with Spirit Sight talent and those who specialized in honing their Spirit Vision abilities were naturally less potent and accurate compared to Rozen, who had both.

In other words, when it came to refining jutsuryoku and using Spirit Sight, Rozen had an advantage over any other onmyouji.

Even now, while being able to see other people's Reiki wasn't that remarkable, being able to gauge the strength and precision of the Reiki like this was rare.

"While I could use 'Heaven's Eye' to determine who's inside, it has a limited range. 'Spirit Vision,' on the other hand, is effective within my line of sight, even allowing me to see distant spiritual energy or magic. With continued practice, it might even approach the effectiveness of 'Clairvoyance' and provide sight over great distances. I'm looking forward to that."

Rozen was quietly looking forward to it as he approached the door.

However, before Rozen could even knock, a calm voice came from inside.

"Come in."

It was the voice of Tsuchimikado Yasuzumi. He seemed to have sensed Rozen's arrival and made this statement accordingly.

Rozen wasn't surprised. Since he could perceive the Reiki of the people inside, it was only natural that they could sense his presence outside. Of course, whether they could sense him or not depended on the strength of their Spirit Sight abilities.

The fact that Tsuchimikado Yasuzumi could detect Rozen's presence indicated his strong abilities.

However...

"It's also possible that the Shikigami he had sent to call me had finished it's mission and returned, so he assumed I was already here," Rozen silently thought to himself.

There was no other way; once his Spirit Vision skill gained the effect of Spirit Sight, Rozen had also discovered that his Reiki was somewhat unique and not easily detected by ordinary people.

With all these thoughts in mind, Rozen didn't bother to knock on the door but pushed it open and entered the hall.

Instantly, several pairs of eyes focused on Rozen. One gaze came from Tsuchimikado Yasuzumi, who was seated in the main position, still exuding his usual cold demeanor.

Two other gazes came from a couple seated on the side, each with a different style.

"You're here, Akikan," greeted a middle-aged man with a smile aimed at Rozen.

He wore traditional Japanese clothing and a headband, his appearance somewhat rough, making him look like a peculiar character.

This man was none other than Tsuchimikado Takahiro, the former mystical investigator at the Onmyou Agency, now retired and serving as the head of the Tsuchimikado branch family.

Despite his seemingly harmless appearance, Takahiro possessed formidable strength, evident from the substantial aura surrounding him.

Seated beside him was his wife, who energetically waved and greeted Rozen.

"Hey, Aki, long time no see!" Her voice carried youthful vitality as she smiled brightly.

This woman appeared ageless, with no visible wrinkles and an exceptionally lively demeanor. She was Tsuchimikado Chizuru, Takahiro's wife and the mother of Natsume and Harutora.

Chizuru, like her husband, held professional qualifications as an Onmyouji and had considerable skills. She had been quite renowned in her prime during her time at the Onmyou Agency, known for her use of a special kind of jujutsu.

Rozen didn't know what kind of special jujutsu Tsuchimikado Chizuru used, but it didn't matter as he couldn't help but feel exasperated by her.

This overly youthful mother had persistently called him "Aki" from the past to the present, despite Rozen's protests, much like Argo.

However, Argo was sly, while Chizuru was more carefree; there was a difference between the two.

Rozen greeted Tsuchimikado Takahiro and Chizuru with a slight bow, showing proper etiquette.

"Uncle, Aunt."

The three individuals Rozen was familiar with had been revealed through his Spirit Vision. As for the two unfamiliar auras, they were seated opposite Tsuchimikado Takahiro and Chizuru.

That's a pair consisting of one man and one girl, one being significantly larger than the other.

The man was sturdy and robust, with a stern and mature face. He appeared to be over fifty years old and exuded an extraordinary sense of dignity.

His eyes were sharp, calm, and penetrating, giving the impression of someone accustomed to holding a high position and being meticulously severe.

The girl, on the other hand, appeared to be around Rozen's age, with a petite figure, fair skin, and a delicate, lively face. Her appearance was nothing short of charming and elegant, suggesting that she would grow up to be a stunning young woman.

The young girl, however, stared at Rozen, or more accurately, glared at him. Rozen couldn't figure out what had provoked her, but it was clear that her intentions were far from friendly.

As expected...

"Are you Tsuchimikado Akikan?"

The stern man spoke in a deep voice, addressing Rozen.
