But Jeremy didn’t answer. He walked away to help Mathew with the mess he made. Right then Leah with Moonlight still in her arms, jumped on his arms. /"Jay! Daddy said you were sick./"

It took Mathew and Jeremy an hour to clean the kitchen and another hour later lunch was finally ready. During this whole time, Jake’s job was to play with Leah and Moonlight. If he so much as dared to look in the direction of the kitchen, Jeremy would throw him a glare like an angry hawk.

It actually wasn’t just Jeremy being overprotective. Jake really had no strength in him to do anything. And all the yelling from before made things even worse. He had a killing headache but Jeremy wouldn’t let him take any kind of medicine with an empty stomach so Jake had to endure until the meal was ready.
