Chapter 60: Friend Not Foe

From Jonathan's angle, Bella looked more than unwilling to share her food. Jonathan had glanced at her momentarily while he was looking at Xavier and was surprised to see that she was scarfing down the food faster than both Xavier and himself combined.

Xavier must have caught on to the fact she didn't want to after a moment but he still persisted regardless, "Come on I promised I would protect you didn't I? For me to do that I need you to share some of your food otherwise something bad might end up happening beyond my abilities." Xavier said with a normal smile on his face but from both Jonathan and Bella's perspectives he looked evil.

"F-fine just a little piece though." Bell said as she moved her hands over to her plate to hand Xavier the chicken. When she went to do so there were hands that made it to her plate first scooping up the chicken in their hands before placing it on their own plate.
