The sprawling mannor had a gothic chic look to it. The lawn and shrubbery were well kept all down the drive. A massive set of iron gates barred our entry. As Chance pulled up to them an impressively large man stepped out from the shadows. He was clad in black jeans, T-shirt and leather vest.
He had muscles that went on for days. His arms were so ripped that I felt sorry for anyone who chose to arm wrestle him let alone meet him in one on one battle.
"Areminious, we are here for the party."
"Very well, your highness." Aremonious' deepvoice rang out in answer as he opened one of the iron gates.
"Who says 'your highness' anymore, Chance? This is the 22nd century, after all." I playfully asked as we pulled through.
"You will come to realize, my sweet, that formality is a way of life when it comes to our subordinates." He answered then gave me one of his dashing, heart melting smiles.
A girl could fall for this man with that smile in his arsenal. Shoot, this girl did.
Has it reall been 198 years since we were joined as mates? Yet, even with all that time I still haven't given him any children.
"Dearest?" Chance's voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, Chance?"
"Are you ready to finally meet my entire family?"
Is he really asking me this? I've been wanting to meet them, formally since the day we were mated, however there was a rule that kept that from happening. Not to mention most of them lived so far away and were busy, or so they said, when we finally did get married. My fault I guess.
Yet, tonight, I was going to meet them, tonight I will finally be part of the Vyscus Family. The thing that scared me though was the burning, constant question that was present even now. Will they even like me?
