The Morning

It was 7:40am. I was nervous and excited at the same time. My alarm was saying, "Emma wake up! It's a new day! Wake up, wake up!" I got out of bed sat on the red carpet floor with my blue spiral notebook to go over my checklist for the hundredth time. Pencils, check! Notebook, check! I put my notebook down on my pure silver desk that i topped with my laptop and my mirror. 7:50 had arrived and I was still deciding what to wear. It was the first day of middle school so I had to make an impression. My closet opened as I walked in. I grabbed the first shirt I saw which was a yellow and white crop top that went down to my waist. I then put on some blue high rise jeans with a few rips here and there and headed to the kitchen. Standing at the stove, I saw my mother with two hard boiled eggs, five pancakes with organic syrup, and 4 strips of the crispiest bacon. "Did you sleep well? I wouldn't want you to be tired on your first day." said Mom. She took a sip of her tequila. I told her I was fine, and ate my breakfast. She noticed my shirt and handed me a black velvet jacket to cover up the extra skin that my shirt failed to cover. I rolled my eyes at her, and put it on. After breakfast, I started to pack my bag for school. Twelve golden mechanical pencils, one silver sharpener, and two diamond pairs of scissors. When 8:30 came around, I grabbed my brown Chanel bag and headed to school.
