Chapter 1: Ch. 1 Reincarnation

( Kuro Pov )

" Is this alright?" I looked to my side to see a woman, my guide. I ignored her question and looked back at my own funeral.

There were so many people who arrived. I never expected anyone to mourn my death. I was alone, after all, with no family, friends, or girlfriend.

" These are the people you've helped. The ones who wished to thank you. Over the years, you have helped so many people it. The little things you've done created a huge difference in your karmic life."

" You are a kind kid. You did your best. You really did. "

" Is that all?" I looked at the spirit who smiled at my question.

" Yes." I stared at her as she gave me a stupid smile before waving her hand to follow her. With no choice, I followed behind her as she led me through a misty haze, I couldn't see anything except her back.

A few seconds later, the mist disappeared, and I was taken to a man reading a scroll before placing to the side and disappeared into smoke.

" Well, it seems we have another irregular." The man tilted his glasses before taking another scroll on the side.

" Kuro Yurin. An untimely death. Great karma..." he raised an eyebrow in surprise, glancing at me before continuing.

" So this is why you're an irregular... your death wasn't determined yet." He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed before collecting himself.

" Here, take a seat." He motioned to the chair in front of his desk, I complied and sat down as he reached into his drawer.

" For an Irregular, they would need to reincarnate as fast as possible before their souls are corrupted."

He placed a book in front of me.

" If you could follow me well, have to pick your world, and as everyone before you, the world you'll ve reincarnated into would be on luck." He explained as he got up and walked in a random direction.

" Yay! Gambling!!" The spirit lady shouted as she followed us. I took the book with me and followed behind them.

It didn't take long for everything to disappear again before a large spin appeared.

" Now I'd you please spin it."

I did as the man said and spun the wheel. I could barely make out the names on the spinner, but I managed to take a glimpse of a few of them.

Tick! Tick! Tick! Ding!

The wheel stopped, and I looked to see the name.

' My hero Academia... could be worse.' I thought as I glanced at Beserk and Boruto.

" Well, your world has been determined. Now for your gifts, please choose from the book and make it as quick as possible."

I nodded and opened the book to see many skills.

" Oh, I forgot to mention, but your gifts depend on your Karma." He spoke, and I looked at hkm for a few seconds before looking back at the book.

' Gifts... huh.' I observed the many gifts inside the book. Many of them were powerful, and some were useful.

But for the world I'm going to be reincarnated into, I needed to pick carefully.

The first pick was to have a strong body, which is why I went with a [ Cat body ], which gives me enhanced strength, agility, reflexes, and balance.

The next one was [ Shadow Manipulation] the ability to create and manipulate shadows.

I looked up at the corner of the book to see my karmic value. [ 2500] That was how much was left. The two gifts cost about 13,000 together.

The last one was a good gift for My Hero Academia, [ Heroic Aura ]. This would give me a protected aura for my body and a healing effect on others.

" That's all..." I looked at the man who nodded before looking at the spirit.

" That is all. If you could please guide him to his next life." He nodded at her and at me before leaving with the book.

" Come on! Get in!" She patted the boat before jumping, and I followed her. The surroundings changed into a river with small balls of light floating around.

" Aren't they beautiful?" She smiled at me as I realized I was caught gazing at them.

" Yeah." I muttered, looking at the spirit as she controlled the boat.

" You had a long day. Why don't you take a rest." She suggested as I realized she was right, I felt tired, and before I knew it, I closed my eyes and listened to the water crashing against the boat.

My soul felt relieved for once, and I could finally rest for a second.
