"Let me die..." David begged as he changed the illusion once again according to Atalanta's command. "Stop whining, you looked cute in that. Though we can do better for you. I think It'll look good on Apate though." Atalanta pondered. "We've been at this for hours, just pick one already!" David exclaimed in a desperate tone. "Fine, way to ruin my fun... Give me a second, I'll give you your outfit design" Atalanta announced.
"Wait, since when did you have one ready?!" David asked. "The few ones were to test the waters, but I came up with your actual outfit pretty quickly. You're pretty handsome, so it wasn't that hard," Atalanta explained. "Then the past few hours?" David asked as the light disappeared from his eyes. "It was for fun, I haven't enjoyed myself so much in months! I mean, I wanted to see if I could improve my design, but there wasn't a big chance of that happening," Atalanta explained to the lifeless David. "I hate you," David groaned.
"I know," Atalanta chuckled. "Are you ready to enchant the clothes now, or do you need time to recover?" Atalanta asked. "...I need some sleep..." David said in a tired tone as he sat against a small boulder for a quick nap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone was "wearing" their outfits, courtesy of David's enchantments. David himself wore an unbuttoned white, loose, long-sleeved shirt with long brown hiking pants. Atalanta wore a tight black shirt, with black skinny jeans. Apate wore a simple red T-shirt with short blue pants, and Dave was eclipsed in a white robe. "Hey, you all get actual clothes and I'm here with some blanket?" Dave complained. "Tough luck," David yawned while Atalanta protested since she made Dave a set of clothes for naught. "It's just an illusion anyway, so stop acting like kids and let's go already," David said.
The group descended down to the city gates. As they neared the gate, a guard from above yelled in a surprised tone. "What is your purpose here?" The guard asked, to which David replied "We are simply here for a visit." The guard shouted something and the gates came down, revealing a bunch of men and women standing at attention with their eyes focused on the incoming group as if their life depended on it. 'Wow, they're serious...' David was impressed at the effort the guards put in, but as he looked at their eyes he noticed that they were scanning them up and down, with visible envy present in them. David suddenly got a very bad feeling as he noticed the man he assumed was the captain taking a look at them before running away quickly.
As they walked the streets, all eyes were on them. People stared at them with envy, fear, lust, and respect. Additionally, people stayed at a minimum distance of twenty meters from them as if a forcefield was present. "Shit..." David cursed as he realized what had happened, causing the surrounding civilians to jump in fright. "You just noticed?" Apate questioned sarcastically with a hushed tone as to not alert the people. "You knew this was going to happen, didn't you?" David narrowed his eyes. "Yup, but these reactions are well worth keeping my mouth shut. Don't worry, though. We can just escape to a private place and change," Apate whispered back.
"Alright, luckily I made so that I can perform dynamic changes for escape so let's go behind that building, and then we run to the house opposite of it. Be quick, but walk carefully," David instructed. The group went behind a house, momentarily hiding them. In that second David changed the illusion from clothes to invisibility. However, making simple cloths and making the target invisible were two separate things, causing the enchantment to put a large strain on the simple cloths the group wore. As a result, they needed to arrive at their target quickly before changing to another, more regular, appearance.
"I swear to god Atalanta..." David complained as they walked the streets normally. "You can't blame her, she thought all of the Warlords' citizens dress like that," Apate explained. "Fine... Anyway, I made us look older so go to bars or any other place and start spreading rumors, we'll regroup at that restaurant at midnight," David said as the group split.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back on the wall, the guard that welcomed the group spotted two men dressed in new pairs of shirts and jeans coming in their direction. "Yo, we're here for the inspection, let us in!" A casual voice was heard from below as the duo arrived at the wall. The guard ordered the gate to be lifted and fetched his captain who welcomed the duo. But when no one was looking, the captain slipped a note into their hands.

Hey guys, so I'm sorry for the short chapter but I've been feeling a little unmotivated recently. I thought about it, and I think it's because I don't really interact with you. Like, yes, I can look at the numbers and people who put this in their libraries and see that people are reading and enjoying this, but it doesn't feel personal. So if you can spare some time, please give me feedback or just comment whatever you want. It'll help me get motivated and write better chapters and just enjoy writing more overall.
