"Damn, that was annoying. I really didn't want to kill first thing in the morning, it doesn't let me enjoy myself..." One of the men complained as a trail of half-dissolved bodies and blood was left on the desert sand behind him. The man had red, smooth, shoulder-length hair. He was slim, even sickly looking. He looked like a mild breeze would topple him. He had brown eyes and some muscles despite his fragile look. He wore a white T-shirt and black sweat pants.
"Then why did you kill them, Raymond? I could have snuck us past them easily!" The other man said. He had very short, black, hair and green eyes. Unlike Raymond, he looked like a professional bodybuilder, with muscles coming out of practically his entire body. He wore a grey tank-top and black jeans.
"It was still somewhat fun... Though it would have been a lot better if I had my coffee." Raymond yawned as he talked. "Just great, now we have to watch out for reinforcements. Not to mention that the entire place will be in lockdown when they realize all the guards were killed. You made an easy in-and-out job into a time crunch!" The muscular individual said in a frustrated tone. "Relax, James. there's only low-level trash guarding this place, and we can get all the things we need before they hear the news." Raymond waved his hand in the air as if swatting a fly.
"I mean, we could, but you still complicated things... Now quiet, we're here." James quieted Raymond down as they the sand dune near the village's border. Over the years, the village continued to upgrade itself, and now it had semi-transparent barriers blocking outsiders. "Hm, this is really weird. They 𝐚𝐫𝐞 quirkless, right?" Raymond asked. "According to our intel, yes. Honestly? I thought it was fake." James answered as he poked the barrier to test its strength.

"Alex!" David stormed into Alex's office. David had grown a lot over the years. He now stood at 165 c"m and he gained a lot of muscle, though it wasn't showing. He wore a ripped, gray, shirt and pants with so many scratches on them you couldn't know what they originally looked like no matter how much you tried. "I see Ruth is still hard on you," Alex chuckled as he stopped his work and turned to David. "Not the time. Someone's at the first barrier, and by what I'm getting, they're no joke. Also, the fact that they're here means that the spies are probably dead." David reported the intel he got from the scanning enchantment he put around the settlement in a serious tone.
"Honestly, I expected it to be way sooner. Keep track of them and activate all the normally deactivated weapons. If they killed all the spies they must be quite skilled. In the meantime, I'll go and begin quietly evacuating everyone that isn't you to the safe houses." Alex commanded David as he got up. David had a small smile of anticipation as he walked out, he could finally use the defense system he spent almost a decade building. Needless to say, he hoped the intruders could stand up to his expectations.

"So... Do I break it?" Raymond asked. "Try to break it as silently as possible and I'll make us invisible so we could scout without being noticed. We want intel, not a bloody massacre" James emphasized the last part as he looked at Raymond.
"...Fine, Though it seems the pests know something's up, look how they run all over the place" Raymond replied as he extended his hand forward. A dark mist slowly spread around a small part of the barrier, and as the mist touched its target, the barrier seemingly broke and crumbled. "As long as they don't know we're in, it's good enough. Make it a little bigger, we need to bring in the cart with us too," James instructed Raymond.
"Alright, I think this is good enough, now do your magic." Raymond was pleased as he looked at the big hole he created. "Alright, just don't puke this time," James chuckled. "That was one god damn time!" Raymond protested as he grappled James a little, it was quite a funny sight to see a sickly man tackle a goliath. "Alright, alright. I was just making sure." James teased Raymond a little more as he activated his quirk. Suddenly, the pair and cart turned invisible, and their sounds were muffled to a certain degree. "This feels so weird..." Raymond complained as he stumbled back. "I would have thought you would have experienced this enough to stop complaining." James sighed.
As the two made their way to the village, they noticed that the streets were mostly empty, and the little inhabitants left were also running away from their direction in haste. "Did they locate us?" Raymond asked. "No, at least they're not supposed to. There's no way they have access to thermal vision devices, not even we have a lot of those. Though it could be another weird thing like the barrier. Be ready to" James replied as he looked at the area, trying to see what other hidden mechanisms are there.
"Hey, mind telling me what you're doing here?" David walked on a rooftop as he talked to them. Both Raymond and James looked at him but didn't respond as they didn't know he could see them. "...Are you going to answer or do you think I don't know you're invisible?" David asked after a little awkward silence. "How did you notice us?" James asked. "Do you really think I'm going to tell someone who sneaked invisible into my home with two tied-up kids my tricks?" David said with a disgusted expression. Raymond narrowed his eyes as black mist quickly forming around him, preparing to attack David.

Hey guys, lockdown is supposed to end next Sunday, but it will probably be delayed again due to all the mutations. I really want that damned Driver's license already... Anyway, the next chap will be a battle, and one I'm going to have fun with. I mean, the village is now like a castle with the weirdest defenses so endless options. See you next time.
