Chapter 68: Chapter 66 - A Sudden Encounter

Days passed, and the climax of the sports festival was already underway.

A huge crowd of people were filling up the stadium's seats, and millions of people watched on live TV as the exciting battle continued with uproarious explosions and dazzling lights.

Ryuji stood on one end while Izuku stood on another.

With one arm placed to his back and another aloofly holding the hilt of a golden sword, Ryuji's black robes with golden dragons embroidered to its fabric fluttered with the wind.

Izuku's body crackled with green electricity as his eyes shone with dazzling radiance. Endless energy coursed through his veins as sweat trickled down his body.

Both sides stared at one another with focused eyes that hinted at joy.

Two friends are now interlocked in one final fight to determine the triumphant winner of this competitive tournament full of champions and heroes.

Whoever wins this bout would cement themselves in history and rise to the top of their year. They would claim the glorious throne of number one and shine like a blinding star.

Izuku took a deep breath and bent his legs, leaning forward by a bit as he aimed straight at Ryuji.

Ryuji pulled out his sword from its sheath and his eyes flared with draconic might. Golden scales akin to armor formed on his forearms as protruding claws extended out of his nails.

Their aura slowly rose to unparalleled levels.

"Dragon Paradigm Arts!"

Both shouted in unison as they prepared to attack.

Izuku planted his legs firmly on the ground and took a deep breath. One for All's boundless energy augmented his arms beyond the limits of the human body as they swelled vigorously, "Fist Style: 30% Dragon's Roar!"

"Sword Style: Horizon Splitter!" Ryuji buckled his blade and swung it with a flash of luminescent sword light.

Izuku pushed both of his fists forward at breakneck speeds, pushing the air forward with his immense night to create two gargantuan streams of air pressure that caused the ground to shake and break.

On the other hand, the golden sword light flew through the air and cut the terrifying attack into two, dissipating the winds and turning them into a soft breeze by the time they arrived at Ryuji.

"My turn!" Ryuji laughed and revealed rows of sharp white teeth.

Then, in one fluid motion, another crescent beam of sharp winds struck Izuku, and it became larger the more it traveled through the air, gathering its strength like a tidal wave of water ready to submerge islands and continents.

Izuku hastily reacted and pumped his body with 15% One for All, invigorating himself with more vitality and strength. He clapped his hands together and created a burst of strong winds, countering the sharp gust of wind that threatened to cut him in half.

But, that was merely a disguise.

As intense winds collided in the air, a single golden sword flew through the air and arrived right in front of Izuku with a boom. It was fast and too sudden for Izuku.

'Hup!' Instincts created from hundreds of hours of training over the course of a strenuous year took over his body as the veins of both of his arms brightened like heated metal, releasing bright reddish light akin to luminescent blood.

He raised both of his arms, with his arms temporarily raised to One for All 30%.

With a loud clang similar to metal hitting metal, the sword bounced into the air as it reflected golden rays of light, blinding Izuku for another moment.

Ryuji's attacks were mystical and continuous like a flowing river. If given a chance, his attacks would stack one another like torrential rain that builds into a flood.

Fwoosh.

A shadowy figure grabbed the hilt of the sword in midair as Ryuji grinned with a menacing smile. He swung his arm to deal one fatal blow, but Izuku was mentally prepared for this as he knew Ryuji's river-like style of fighting, a barrage of attacks that never ends once started, albeit, only with enemies that he considered as equals and worth fighting seriously.

Not giving Ryuji the time to enact his schemes, Izuku exerted more energy in his legs and stomped his feet into the ground, causing a cloud of dust to rise and intense winds to form.

Ryuji was pushed backward by the strong winds as he wore an appreciative smirk.

"Good!" Ryuji stood up straight with a confident grin and swung his sword to the side. It gleamed with golden light, reflecting the bright sun in the sky.

Izuku coughed and massage his slightly numb arms and legs, but an exhilarated smile was also on his face.

The fight continued as clouds of dust formed and the earth shook. It was a brilliant fight that displayed the two's excellence and absurd power.

Inside a modest and minimalistic room, a young boy with jet-black hair and rainbow-colored eyes watched the TV screen with intrigued eyes and a strange sense of maturity unlike that of a boy his age. He leaned forward while holding a bowl of popcorn, munching on it as intense colors flashed on the screen.

Crunch.

He munched on more popcorn as a salty taste left him wanting for more.

He had pale white skin and a thin body. His oversized white shirt could almost act as a dress for him. His impassive yet girlish face gave him a cute and emo-like appearance. Add that with his naturally silent and introverted disposition, and you got yourself a cute potential boywife.

"Interesting…" The boy mumbled and licked his fingers with his pink tongue.

The fight continued intensely through the screen, loud booms like the sound of thunder echoed in the room.

Even though it was happening through the screen, the boy could still feel just how terrifying those moves were. They could cause winds to form vortexes and for the ground to break apart and form spiderwebs-like cracks.

Crunch.

Ryuji swung his blade with intense speed as sharp winds cut through the air.

Izuku gritted his teeth and tanked through the attacks, arriving right in front of Ryuji with an endless fighting spirit.

Boom!

Izuku's fist clashed against Ryuji's blade and he was pushed back tens of steps in a single second. He dug his feet deep into the ground and grabbed the concrete floor beneath him with his sharp claws to not go off stage.

Ryuji's eyes shone with a golden luster as he regained his footing and balance, but Izuku pounced forward again like an unrelenting beast.

He clicked his tongue and his pants were ripped apart by the golden scales that erupted beneath, forming a pair of armor-like boots with sharp claws extending out of his toenails. His eyes turned more dragon-like as his body's aura continued to rise.

"Really interesting…" The boy once again mumbled as he scratched his chin.

Then, rainbow-colored scales started to appear on his skin too, but they were more smooth and crystal-like, unlike Ryuji's metallic and armor-like scales. Rather than armor, it was as if his skin instead changed color and gained a more crystal-like structure.

He watched as his nails also grew out and formed draconic claws, a giant boost in strength also formed as the boy shook his head and sighed, "Quirks really are interesting."

"To think I'd find another person with a Quirk so similar to mind." The boy mumbled with a curious smile. "Dragon of Illusions, huh?"

"Well, I guess that's one big difference between our Quirks. If he's focused on illusions and brute force…" The boy smiled. "Then I'm the Dragon of Dreams."

As he said so, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he felt something amiss. His senses were firing off intense warnings of danger, but he couldn't even begin to know where it came from.

Just as he was about to activate his Quirk and run off with his mysterious methods, a strange crack suddenly formed in the air ahead of him. A bright light shined out as he squinted his eyes instinctively to not go blind.

The crack then started to expand in size, like how glass shatters into numerous fragments.

When the crack in the air was larger than his body, a ridiculously strong suction force suddenly erupted and started to pull him from his legs uncontrollably.

He widened his eyes once more and his rainbow-colored eyes turned more dragon-like. His aura rose as rainbow-colored scales akin to crystals shimmered on his skin. His strength rose to an unprecedented level as he lets out a loud roar.

But, it didn't change a thing.

It was as if his every limb was constricted by an invisible force as he was slowly pulled up from the ground and into the air like a helpless fish ready to be chopped.

'No! Why is this happening?!'

'I'm already at the very peak of 2nd Stage! I'm just one step away from forming my own Law Seed! I can even fight against 3rd Stage entities as long as they haven't formed their pathways!'

'But against this? I can't do anything!'

'Who is doing this?! Are they here to kill me?!'

'Fuck! After gathering my strength in secret for over 15 years and finally reaching this point in my life, it would all disappear into a fleeting dream just like my previous life!'

He was indignant. He was angry. But he was also helpless.

Under the extreme power of the mysterious fissure in the middle of the air, he was sucked into it and disappeared, leaving behind no trace of the previous commotion.

Ryuji stood in front of Izuku's fallen figure, his eyes shining brightly with the light of victory as a cacophony of cheers rang in his ears.

He was victorious, his win was an inevitable conclusion that cannot be bridged no matter how hard Izuku was to train.

Even when he didn't have One for All and All for One, unless Izuku could continuously use One for All above 30% with ease, then his hope of winning against Ryuji was too slim. Now with Ryuji's big boost in power, he was confident in dealing with Izuku no matter the situation unless he somehow reaches 50% and beyond and exert terrifying might that can cause entire city blocks to shake with just a single wave of his fist.

One for All was a terrifying Quirk with limitless potential. At the hands of the greatest of goods, it was a blessing for mankind, but in the hands of great evil, it can spell the doom of humanity as a whole.

But, even though he won, and his plans were pushing forward without mishap, he felt something was amiss. His mind, body, and soul seemed to resonate at this moment as he inexplicably felt something was wrong, as if something was brewing underneath the shadows.

Even he was mystified by this feeling, much less comprehending it. He took a deep breath and decided to deal with that strange issue later, for now, there was a lot of work to be done, leaving him with no time for other matters.

After the end of the sports festival, Ryuji cemented himself deeply in the hearts of Japan's pro heroes and citizens. He was bright like the morning sun, illuminating the entire nation with his presence and awe-inspiring abilities.

His charisma and presence were vast like a grand sea, swaying the hearts of many with ease.

They then went on to pick their respective pro heroes to train under and experience internship work, and Ryuji successfully studied under the pro Hero, Endeavor, and continued with his plans.

His influence continued to grow in all aspects.

Souls were absorbed endlessly with the help of Hidden Order as his strength grew like a flame being given an endless supply of wood and sticks.

Hidden Order continued to expand as more and more members were brainwashed and forcefully enslaved by his organization.

Ryuji Anwir got more and more recognition as he earned one achievement after another, from defeating numerous villains singlehandedly to saving hundreds of lives.

And so, time continued to pass without pause.

As he got stronger, the world started to change its course.

And finally, months went by in a flash.

"Sigh…" A young boy with pale white skin, jet-black hair, and rainbow-colored eyes stared at a nearby calendar and gave a deep, aggrieved sigh. "Summer is already ending so soon."

"Why am I even attending school when I'm out here saving one world to another?!"

'Who can even expect that after getting reincarnated into this world with godlike humans, I'll be saving the universe nearly every week!'

(End of Arc 2—Ryuji Anwir; Myriad Illusions)

AN: This chapter has 2106 words.

And that's the end of Arc 2, baby! I'm still debating on whether or not I should continue on with the Fortune Stealer (new title) novel because fanfics are draining me, bro, especially with the amount of original content I have to create for something that is inherently not of my own 'original creation' and is merely a 'fanfic', which is kinda... meh.

I mean, this novel is fucking good, I can confidently say that, but it's just not fully mine, so there's that problem. Ugh, I'll worry about this later.
