Chapter 64: Rev and Save (2).
Indeed. What Carl saw was true. There was a ramp in front of us instead of a wooden gate which he expected but I already knew about the ramp from the game, so without any hesitation I speeded more for the ramp.
'Nitro 4x'
I again activated Nitro and the Rancher's speed increased dramatically. The car climbed the ramp with a great speed.
The Rancher quickly climbed the ramp and left the ramp with great velocity. The Rancher was set 'flying' when the ramp ended.
"AAAAAA!!!!" Carl screamed like it was the end of the world.
"STOP SCREAMING LIKE A PIG TO BE SLAUGHTERED, CARL!!!!" I shouted at him as I don't want to hear him scream for the entire jump. After me scolding him, he calmed down.
A Rancher could be seen 'flying' in the sky and we passed two more participants above them. They took the 'around the barns' route which was safer and time consuming. If they went for the middle of the barn route, they would've already reached the hill climbing part. We, the late ones had to make an extra effort and take risk to quickly cope up with others.
"SUCK IT UP LOSERS!!!" Carl shouted to the participants on the ground while we were in the sky in the Rancher.
The vertical component of velocity of the car started decreasing and when it reached zero, the Rancher started falling under the effect of the gravity. The Rancher landed heavily on the ground. Even if the Rancher had a good suspension, Carl and I faced a heavy shake inside the car when the car landed. But everything was fine.
"Mr. Chan. We are currently 2nd in the race. Cesar lost early in the race and now he is telling me the positions of the racers."
"Who is first?"
"It's that weird dude, That Organizer, Susie."
'Carl and his pronunciation of Asian Names.' I sighed and continued driving.
We reached the Hill Climbing Part. This part is filled with tricky twists and turns which you have to perform with high speed as you want your car to climb the hill as well. Not the hardest part but the most dangerous. One mistake and you are down the hill. We continued the climb without any stopping as I can easily course through these turns with Perfect Handling.
When we were in the middle of the hill climbing part, I heard a feminine scream. I looked towards the direction where the scream came from and I found it was coming from a car which was way ahead of us.
"HELP!!! HELP!! OUR BRAKES HAVE FAILED... HELP!!"
I recognized the car, it was Woozie's car and the one screaming must be her secretary. She screamed their brakes have failed. If everything goes like this, It is most probably that Woozie will die by falling the hill with high speed.
I have to help him or the story will lose a major character of the San Fierro part, which will affect the plot in god knows which direction and I don't want that to happen. I have already my hands full with the MHA world, I don't want to take 2 worlds' problem on my shoulders.
'I already have messed so much with the MHA world's plot. I don't want to ruin this world's plot so I lose the advantage of knowing the plot here.' I thought and acted on it.
'Nitro 8x'
I activated the last nitro. The speed increased to the point where even I am finding it hard to control the car. With his speed, I caught up to Woozie's car and drove the car to the side of Woozie's Car and maintained the speed so that our cars were now moving parallely.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? IF HE IS DYING THEN LET HIM DIE.." Carl said to me.
"Did you forgot the reason to participate in the race? We need to make connections with him. If he dies, then you can go and suck mafia leaders' dick to make connections with them to release your brother.
Woozie is a good ally to have and it will be foolish of us to let him die if we can save him. So stop complaining and handle the steering." I said and opened the door of the car while handling the steering with one hand.
"HOW CAN YOU SAVE HIM?!! HIS CAR IS RUNNING AT 100 MPH... Well.. who am I talking to? You can save them. You are Jackie Chan." Carl said and grabbed the steering from my hands.
I didn't paid much attention to what he said. I thought of a idea to save Woozie.
{AIYPWZQP} - Spawn Parachute [Cheat Activated]
A Parachute was now on my back. I jumped on Woozie's car and grabbed the roof for grip. I was now hanging on a car running at 100 MPH (160 KMPH). At speed, I was facing a huge amount of drag which tried to pull me in the opposite direction the movement of car. But I grabbed the roof with a huge force which was generated by my grip. With this I was able to hang on the car.
Carl pretty much handled our Rancher as his driving skills are nothing to scoff at.
I then pulled myself up and stood on the roof of his car. The car is now running at 100 MPH, so it was hard for me to stand up properly so I crouched and down and used Overhaul to create a hole and a handle on the roof of his car to make a holding place for me.
After finding myself able to properly balance myself on the roof, I shouted through the hole I made.
"TURN THE KEY OFF AND SHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR."
Woozie who was panicked, calmed down a bit, quickly did what I told him to do. The Car slowed down a bit but it wasn't enough to stop the car and a new problem was in front of them, as I and Woozie's secretary can now see a sharp turn.
If they fail to make the turn, they will fall from the hill. And with the height of the fall, I don't think Woozie will be able to survive. Woozie who had calmed a little, now panicked more, as he sensed the sharp turn. The secretary who was screaming earlier was now praying to her gods with Woozie's hand in hers.
"DON'T PANIC!!!! BECAUSE I AM HERE!!!!" I said All Might's famous phrase loudly to calm down the people down the roof. He is the Symbol of Peace, his phrases would definitely work in this situation.
I pulled the chord of the parachute and the parachute partially opened up. I grabbed the handle on the roof tightly as I felt a jerk and a huge force as the parachute pulled me back because of the tremendous drag the parachute was under. I put more strength into my grips to maintain the position.
After some time of maintaining my position, the parachute completely opened up and started slowing down the car.
The Car started slowing down. Parachutes are used in Drag Races to slow down the car as for the fact that it can pretty much eat up to 90% of the terminal velocity of the car. Woozie's car started slowing down slowly and the speed decreased drastically from 100 MPH to 70 MPH and it still continued to decrease.
A huge pressure was on my shoulders as they are supporting the fully opened parachute and I had to grab the roof of the car. This pressure was enough to break the shoulder bones of a normal person easily.
But I am not a normal person. I trained my body to the peak and I have a Yandere Girlfriend. I am anything but a normal person, both Physically and Mentally.
But cracks started appearing on the sides of the handle where I was holding the roof. It seems the newly made handle is not that strong to support the force. The car was now at around 40 MPH.
I made a new handle to hold on to the roof. I quickly grabbed the handle from there.
I just crouched down and held the handle; the parachute did it's work. All I had to do was to support the parachute on my shoulders. The speed of car slowed down continuously.
After some more time, the car finally came to a halt. The parachute limped down and we avoided falling down the hill.
I jumped off the roof and stored the parachute in the Inventory.
Carl stopped the car near me and opened the door. I took the driver seat and drove the car to finish point. I have to finish this race myself or I won't complete the mission.
I coursed through the twists and turns of the hill without much problem and drove the car through the finish line. I then stopped the car and Carl also got off the car and excitedly jumped onto me for hug.
"WE WON MR. CHAN!!! WE WON." He looked very happy to win this race for some reason. I don't think money is one of the reasons then what is it?
'Oh the Pink Slip. Yeah, now he can get a car from Woozie.'
After some time, Woozie arrived in a different car. Woozie and the same secretary came out of the car and they walked towards us. I saw them holding hands with fingers intertwined with each other, which made me smile a little.
'Going through a near-death experience together really makes people come closer. I thought it was just a saying but now I can see it happen in front of me.'
Maybe Woozie also found his 'someone' like me. They both stood in front of me and then they bowed a perfect 90 degree.
"Thank you for saving our lives." x 2 (Secretary and Woozie)
"No problem. It was not that much..." I wanted to continue but I had a system Notification.

'Hmm, a new system function. I will check it out later and the second reward is just worthless as I can just use the Perfect Handling cheat to increase the driving skills to max.' I was having thoughts about the rewards but then new notifications started popping up.

'And why is there a Auto-Accept this time?'
I then remembered that this is the return race where you have to race back to the starting point of the race we just won. It's basically reverse of this race. So it will happen few hours later.
'That's the reason behind this Auto-Accept. If I don't accept the mission then I won't be able to participate in the race and the race is just few hours later, so I need to make the choice in these 10 seconds.'
'I have spent 12 hours here that means 1.2 hours in the MHA world. 12 hours with less sleep last night because of the sex left me completely exhausted mentally.
I think I should leave now as I am mentally exhausted and I need sleep or I will be sleep-deprived during the Valentine's dinner with Fuyumi, which is not a good thing.'
So I chose Decline.
A very bright light covered me and I disappeared from the place. And when the bright light died down I saw myself back in my room.
I took a shower and went to sleep to restore the mental fatigue I was feeling. I went to sleep like a log, not caring about whatever is happening in GTA World after my disappearance.

[In GTA World, After Shido 'Disappeared']
The Secretary present was watching the scene with wide eyes and mouth, but Woozie and Carl were unaffected. Shock and Surprise, these are the only thing that can seen on the Secretary's face and others were just stood there without any surprise or shock on their face.
Woozie is blind so he didn't see anything, and Carl is familiar with this 'mode of transportation' of the 'great actor' friend of his.
"Where... Where is he?.. He was just standing here a moment ago.. and then.. he." The secretary was stuttering as she couldn't gather words as she saw their savior just vanish in thin air.
"Don't worry, It's just his usual way of transport. He always use this 'bright light' to come and meet me." Carl said in his usual tone as it was an everyday thing.
"Then.. what is he? I don't think a normal person can do what he did to save us and definitely not the thing he used to .. just .. vanish...from here." The secretary asked.
Woozie was able to form a general idea of what happened from what he could listen.
"Yeah.. He is not a normal person..." Carl said in a dramatic way, Increasing the suspense of the scene.
"Then.. What is he?" Woozie asked.
"He is Jackie Chan...."
"But he had a Japanese name didn't he? and Jackie Chan is a Chinese person." Woozie said.
"That's what he also told me. But have you wondered, other than Jackie Chan, tell me any Asian who can do all these things. Jumping on a car and stopping it with parachute while holding the car with bare hands and vanishing in thin air with a bright light." Carl made a 'undisputable' point. The secretary and Woozie nodded their heads listening to Carl's point.
"But I don't think even Jackie Chan can vanish in thin air." Woozie raised a point.
"It's Ancient Martial Arts of the Orientals. You are Chinese right?, you should have watched that film with people doing incredible stuff with Martial Arts." Carl said and then he continued with his previous point,
"I think he misleads the whole industry with a fake name and only gives his real name to people close to him, like me and you."
"Me?" Woozie pointed to himself.
"Yeah, I think he wants you to be our friend. He told me to have a good connection with you and I am his friend; so in a way, you will be his friend." Carl told Shido's 'intentions' to Woozie.
"Really? But why would he like to be friends with a Triad boss like me who is involved in crime. I think he already has a lot friends with a big names in the industry." Woozie made a point which was logical but it didn't worked here as the topic on which they are talking is completely illogical itself.
"I also thought the same at first, but he came 3 times to help me. 3 times. Do you believe a great actor like him would come to help a notorious gangster like me. No right?. Unless I am his friend.
And he always denies that he is Jackie Chan when I called him Jackie Chan, that means he wants us to be his friends for who he is, not for his money, fame and name." Carl again made a logical 'illogical' point.
Woozie was about to say something but,
Their conversation was interrupted by a man with a big belly which was tightly packed inside a white tank top and he was wearing denim jeans. He was bald and he smelled of alcohol. There was a boy who also followed him from behind.
"Tell me who is tha winner of tha race?" The fat man in tank tops asked.
"Why? What business do you have with him?" Carl asked as he is the only one close to 'Jackie Chan' here, so he took it upon himself to deal with this.
"I promised that whoeva won tha race will get mah daughter at tha start of tha race. So I am askin' who is tha winner of the race." The man said and he proudly, pulled his slipping jeans as he declared giving his daughter to someone he knew nothing about them.
"Give your Daughter?" Carl was confused because he never heard of anything of this promise.
"Yeah mah daughter...MARIE...MARIE.. COME HERE.. QUICK... " The man turned and shouted towards the car in which he came.
From the car, a girl came out and she walked towards the group. Carl's mind got numb when he saw her. The girl had a pale white skin which was adorned by a pinkish tone. She had light blonde hair which was tucked behind her ears added a charming part to her Pretty looks.
Her small nose and thin lips which were arched in a smile was the thing which attracted Carl the most. He was just watching her like she will disappear if he just blinked his eyes.
Pretty and Cute, these were the only two words that came in Carl's head. He saw the girl, who was wearing a one piece dress with a brown sleeveless blouse over the one piece. She was the most pretty girl Carl has ever seen. When she was walking towards them, a gentle breeze blew, which made her hair wave with the air, increasing the girl's charm more and more.
She came to the place where the group gathered and she stood behind her father.
"Meet mah daughter Marie.. 20 years old, Well-verse in Household chores and can take care of kids. An ideal wife. Now tell me who is tha winner of you all?"
"Me.. I am the winner." Carl quickly moved forward towards the fat belly man. The man looked towards Woozie who is the organizer of this race. The secretary nodded in behalf of Woozie. Carl is the winner of this race.. technically. The man then turned to Carl,
"Congratulations, You got an ideal wife for ya...." The man said and pointed to Marie. Marie looked down because she was shy to face her 'future husband'.
After listening to this, Carl was about to move towards Marie to talk to her but the man stopped Carl in his tracks,
"Before all of this, ya would have to pay a dowry of $5K to her family before ya take yar ideal wife from us." The man raised his hand and showed five fingers. (Basically $10K in 2021)
Carl quickly ran towards the Rancher as inside the car, there is a briefcase filled with money which was given by 'Jackie Chan' himself. He quickly took out $5k and handed it over to the fat belly man.
"Nice to meet ya Son-in-Law. I wish ya happy marriage and good life with her.
I wish I could come to yar wedding, but I have some work to do, so I will leave now. Marie go to your husband." The man said and quickly left the place with his son.
Woozie also left with his secretary as this 'transaction' was done outside of the race and has nothing to do with the race that means it was none of his business.
Now only Carl and Marie were the only one left in the place all alone.
"My name is Carl Johnson. You can call me CJ if you want." Carl introduced himself to Marie.
"I.. am ... Marie. I will try to fulfill my duties as your wife ... Please take care of me.." Marie said while she still looked down as she too shy to look at her husband.
Looking at this scene, Carl had nothing but praise in his mind, for the man responsible for all of these, from the money he just used to winning this race, everything was possible just because of that man.
'Thank You Jackie Chan. It may be selfish of me but I will be eating the fruits of your labor and hard work. You are truly a great person, Mr. Chan, to let undeserving people like me to have such great benefits.' Carl praised 'Jackie Chan' for everything he got today.
'Thanks to you, I got a pretty girl and Now I can enjoy my life to the fullest.'

Chapter 65: Talk with Endeavor.
After going through the intense set of events; from Confrontation with Fuyumi to A sweet time with her; from there to finding about her Yandere side and after that going to GTA World, I finally got some good sleep. I woke up at around 5:00 PM. I quickly stood up from the bed and readied myself for the dinner.
After the bath, I took a look at the wardrobe and tried to choose what should I wear for the date. After a simple go through the wardrobe, I took out navy skinnies, white sneakers, a plaid shirt and a short camel coat for a casual look. This will be good enough I guess.
I then went down and hired a taxi to the Todoroki's Abode. While I was on the way to Fuyumi's home, I had several thoughts and one of them was
'I think my sleep time is getting lower day by day.'
Taking care of Eri, Helping out Carl, the Vigilante work and now having an Yandere Super Soldier as a girlfriend. Life cannot be more hectic.
But I have to do all these as I was the one who took responsibilities on my own accord, nobody forced it on me. Sometimes I think I should go for a vacation alone but,
Eri is my daughter so taking care of her is natural; Carl became more pathetic when GTA World turned out to be real, there is no respawning now, so once he dies, Game Over and now I treat him as a friend so helping him is okay.
About Fuyumi, After becoming a Super Soldier, she needs an outlet for her feelings or she will become a full-fledged Yandere like Yuno Gasai as her amplified feelings will accumulate and when she cannot hold back any more, she will snap.
For the outlet for her feelings, I need to be more intimate and lovey-dovey with her so she can express herself without any restraints.
It is the early phase of her 'Evolution'. Due to the rapid evolution of the human brain as a result of exposure to Super Soldier Serum, the individual Super Soldier is far more susceptible to mental disorders and their feelings are very volatile. I have to make her feel good and express how is she is so important and special to me.
And I also have to make sure that she firmly believes that I will never leave her. When the only fear from her mind will go out, she will be able to form solid and firm feelings by herself instead of these amplified, volatile feelings given to her by the side-effects of the Serum.
....
I was now standing outside the door of Todoroki's Abode. I have been here once when Fuyumi and I decided to tell her family about our relationship. I clearly remember how Natsuo gave me the stink eye, Shoto was acting like Shoto and Endeavor rejecting me.
I also clearly remember my fight with Endeavor for the 'approval' and how I 'lost'. It was I who initiated the fight. I wanted to do that for two reasons,
First, Obviously the Approval. Endeavor saw me as a weak person when I told him I was Quirkless. So I wanted to show him my strength, to get the approval. Every father wants someone who can protect their daughter and Endeavor is not an exception. And if he really didn't cared about his family, then he would've broken all the relationships with them but he still calls them family.
At that time, Fuyumi cared too much for her Family and If Endeavor didn't approved of our relationship, She would always be hesitant to increase the intimacy.
Second, I wanted Endeavor to learn that his belief, that only Powerful Quirk Holders are meant to be strong, is completely wrong. I wanted to do this by defeating Endeavor. Being Defeated by a Quirkless guy would've been a good lesson for him.
But I intentionally lost to Endeavor, when I saw Natsuo and Shoto (maybe) cheering for Endeavor. Looking at the Todoroki Family united, even for a small time, made Fuyumi happy. So I chose to let the family celebrate their small reunion with Endeavor's Win.
I just used a 'Super Punch 30% Spartan Rage' in the end to create a wind pressure just before his face to let him see what power I hold. This completed my second objective partially as I didn't defeat him.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
I knocked on the door twice and waited for some time. I had a small bouquet of flowers in my hand which I hid behind my back. I watched this on various shows, where the guy gift their date with a bouquet when the girl opens the door.
So I thought I will also do the same. Since it's Valentine's, any cliche love act is acceptable and I will capitalize on this fact to gain some points as a good boyfriend. The plan is, When the door opens, I will quickly present the bouquet to Fuyumi. Simple and effective. How can anyone fail in this simple set of tasks.
When I was waiting outside, I heard sound of footsteps coming from the inside, which meant Fuyumi has come to open the door. I readied my hidden hand for the action.
*CLICK*
The door opened and I quickly stretched the bouquet in hand to the person who opened the door.
"Happy Valentine's Day." I said and presented the bouquet.
But my heart sank when the person who opened the door was not Fuyumi. My heart sank more when I saw the person who opened the door is none other than Enji Todoroki aka No.2 Hero Endeavor.
Endeavor looked at me with his always serious eyes. I had my hands still stretched towards him, presenting the bouquet. I looked at him with conflicted emotions.
'I thought after our fight in Hosu City and his declaration of the 'Crusade' on me, I will meet him in a battle or some verbal confrontation but I never expected that I will be presenting him a bouquet on Valentine's Day.'
I didn't wanted to meet Endeavor now or near future, as he is the one who is responsible for the delay of my plans. I wanted the Night Raid to make a public debut and quickly deal with High-level Villains, which would've increased our credibility among the masses and then we would've stepped onto the next part of Destroying HPSC's image throughout the country.
But because of his conference, my reputation has hit the ground and his invitation to other heroes to confront me, makes the Mission to deal with Villains and HPSC a bit more complicated, as now Night Raid will have to deal with Villains as well as Heroes who will be coming to apprehend us.
..
Endeavor looked at me and I looked at him. I took back my stretched hand and continued to look at him without blinking.
'Is he suspicious of me? I used the Super Punch during our spar and also used it to deal with the Hero Ambush. He may be a ball of pride and arrogance but his experience in Hero Work is nothing to scoff at. Maybe he saw the relation in the punches and associated Night Slash with me? But how could he saw my punches when he was unconscious?'
I was having series of questions in my head as I looked into Endeavor's serious eyes. But I got out of my thoughts when I heard Fuyumi's voice. I looked at Fuyumi who had only her head popped out of the door, with the rest of her body hiding behind the door and she said,
"Shido, I am getting ready for the dinner and it will take some time, so in the meantime why don't you talk with dad." Fuyumi shouted from her room and popped her head back inside the room.
I then again looked at Endeavor.
'After looking at him all this time, I can really say that his face without the flames, looks really creepy.'
"Come in." Endeavor said and walked inside. I followed him inside as I walked just behind him.
"So how's the hero business going?" I asked Endeavor in order to initiate a small talk with him.
"Good." He said without turning and continued walking.
"Found anything about Night Slash?" I asked again to start the small talk.
This time, Endeavor turned around to look at me with eyes filled with Vigilance. That question must have touched his sensitive point, as Night Slash defeating him in seconds is maybe the most hurtful thing to his pride till now.
"Any reason for the specific question?"
"Weren't you looking for Night Slash? Every News Channel covers this topic daily. This is a very big deal as the No.2 Hero to go after someone personally and made such a big conference and asking for help from other heroes, but they repeat the same thing over and over.
So I thought of asking the man himself, if you have anything new to know other than the news channels, like some leads, or suspects. It is a good feeling when you are ahead of everyone else, isn't it Endeavor-san?" I explained, I think this line of thought is same as any other civilian.
Even after explaining myself to Endeavor, He didn't relaxed his Vigilance entirely. I just shrugged when he looked at me with his vigilant eyes to pry more about me. It's not like he will find anything about me just looking at me and about connecting the punches of Shido Kanzaki to those of Night Slash's won't be that satisfactory either, Since I as Shido Kanzaki has not displayed the full strength of my punches or what I can do, while Night Slash has defeated 6 heroes alone.
And the most important fact, he was unconscious the entire fight, so he didn't even had a chance to see the punches in the first place.
Even If he had found something special about me during our fight, Endeavor would've already connected me and Night Slash and he wouldn't have just stay in his house, instead he would've charged on me with his 'Crusaders' without losing a moment of time.
..
We went into a room and he took a seat and gestured me to sit too. I complied and sat on the chair opposite to him. He still looked at me with serious eyes. After staring me for some moment, he took out a bottle of alcohol and a glass, he poured himself a glass and asked me if I wanted some. I refused his offer. He then picked up the glass and sipped from the glass.
'Maybe he was drinking earlier and I disturbed his drinking session and that's why he is giving me that looks.' I thought of a reason for Endeavor's serious look to me.
"Why did you lost to me during our spar? And if you say for the family's stability then let me tell you that this is not your family. So tell me your true motive behind that loss." He asked me, looking straight into my eyes. It seems Endeavor was not that happy about his 'fake' Victory.
"I did that for Fuyumi.."
"What does this have to do with her?" He asked. He is clearly adamant about knowing the answers from me.
In the anime, Endeavor remains frustrated and angry when All Might steps down as No.1 Hero, ultimately giving the position of No.1 Hero to Endeavor without any hard work. His Victory over me in the spar seems to be a similar situation for him, leaving him frustrated over the fact that he won not because of his strength because I chose to loose.
"Fuyumi wants her family together and she puts a lot of effort to make that happen, and when I saw her smiling face, cheering for you with her brothers at that I thought 'why not let them celebrate their small reunion with the win going to Todoroki Family?' And you see... it worked. Your family celebrated your win, even though it was just victory from a small spar."
Endeavor listened and just sat with his head low with the glass in his hands, in silence for some moment,
"Do you truly love her or are you trying to chase the money associated with her?" Endeavor asked.
It is true that Todoroki family is really rich as this is the family of No.2 Hero of entire Japan. So it was obvious that Fuyumi will also be rich. But I don't love her for her money, I already have {HESOYAM} for money. I have used {HESOYAM} so many times to heal me and that created a lot of money. So much money that I don't even know how much money I currently have.
"I love Fuyumi for who she is and not for the money and let me ask you this, from when did you started acting like a real father? I never you knew you had this side hidden under your serious and strict personality." I said in a mocking tone. He questioned my love for Fuyumi, so I will question his care for his family. He will surely go on fire on my question.
But instead of taking offence and getting angry, he raised his head and looked at me,
"I also didn't knew that I had this side. I thought I sacrificed all of this for my ambitions but when Fuyumi came to me and said she wanted me to meet her boyfriend.... I was a bit shocked by that.. My first thought was why she is saying this to me since she is an adult, she can do anything she wants.
But after she asked me to give you my approval. Everything became clear to me." He said and took a sip from the glass. He took some time to continue,
"Even if I forgot about them, forgot to care about them; Fuyumi still thought of me as her father and asked for my approval. So I acted like one and declined you directly but later approved after you showed strength and care about my family.
I thought they have never seen me as a Family but when Fuyumi asked me of my approval, I had to think again about my relationships with my family. And I saw how she always tries to hold the family together.
I never cared the family anymore since I thought 'It is already broken then what's the point on focusing on broken parts?', so I only worked on my ambitions and focused on training Shoto. But Fuyumi still worked somehow to join us together even if it's a bit but that's a lot for our family.
So I have decided that after solving Night Slash; I will focus on my family."
When I listened to whatever Endeavor just said, My mind turned into a busy train station, with Numerous trains of thoughts going inside my mind in one moment,
'Why is he telling all this to me? And why the realization and redemption part of Endeavor came so early than the anime.
He said he thought about his family when Fuyumi mentioned me. Did I again changed a part of the plot? But he seemed to be the ruthless Endeavor in front of the media in the conference. That means he just became a bit softer towards his family and he did not changed his overall personality. But this is also a speculation. What else did I changed?'
"But why would you tell me all this? As you said I am not a part of your family." I asked, I really wanted to know why Endeavor found me so trustworthy to share his personal thoughts on his family.
"I said, you are not the part of our family but 'yet'. After your visit to our house, I have seen Fuyumi just looking at the walls with a daze and a happy smile on her face or When she comes home, she always has a happy smile on her face many times, which is a bit unusual.
When Natsuo asked her about this, she said the reason for her happiness is a little girl that you've adopted. Fuyumi said the little girl acts like she is her daughter and she finds it very comforting and satisfying to act like her mother. She said she wanted a cute little daughter like her when she gets married. I happened to be present there and I heard what she said.
And If I am not wrong, you two are very close to each other .... and after adding the factor of your daughter's and Fuyumi's closeness to each other, I think it is not a problem to say that you two will marry each other in the future.
Since now you are 'going' to be a part of our family, I thought sharing my thoughts with someone close will be a bit helpful " He said and drank the remaining drink in the glass. He poured himself another drink.
"Even if I am going to become a member of your family in the future. That's only a possibility and how come you share all of that with someone who is not even a member of your family?" I asked.
"Yeah you are right.... It is just one of the reason I made to make my mind think what I am doing is the right thing... I am trying to justify this talk I am having with you to my mind... So, I just want to talk to someone and let it all out.
Natsuo hates me to his core, Shoto only obeys me during the training and ignores anything else. I don't want Fuyumi to be more burdened just after she found some happiness in her life. And Rei...." Endeavor stopped talking and drank the whole glass in one gulp.
"Rei is in a mental hospital where doctors advice me not to meet her... I cannot show my weakness to anyone outside the family..... therefore beside you... I don't have anyone to talk to....
And as I said, you are a father as well so you should understand what I am talking about right?" Endeavor poured another drink.
'I don't understand a bit of you Endeavor. In the conference you acted like you want to kill me the moment I appear in front of you and now.... you are acting like an old man who is trying to drink down his guilts with more and more alcohol. I don't understand a bit of you Endeavor...Not even a bit.'
Endeavor then stopped talking and focused on drinking. We sat there in silence, without sating anything. Only the sound of glass touching the table resounded the room from time to time.
'He seems a bit drunk that may be the reason he could say all those stuff out of his heart.'
After some time, I broke the silence.
"So, How are you feeling now?" I asked him.
"A bit better. Letting it all out really made me feel a bit lighter..... Thanks for listening." After that he just sipped from the glass and didn't said anything.
When I heard Endeavor saying thanks to me, I was stunned and didn't knew how to respond to that so I just remained silent. This talk made me feel more complicated.
'Yeah, it's all his fault. He abused them and now they don't care about him, isn't it natural. And why all of a sudden he wants to reunite with his family. It is you who created this mess for everyone and now you to make them forget everything that happened in the past and accept you. Isn't it very selfish of you.' That was one thought in my mind.
But there was another thought going on in my mind,
'But he is at least trying to resolve this mess, even if he created this. Acknowledging the fact that everything that happened is because of him is the first step and he has taken that step... Maybe he did the worst thing a father and a husband can do to his children and wife but he is at least trying to change. That doesn't make all his past actions as invalid but.... '
'GOD!!! I sound like a hypocrite. Why am I in this mess.' I pushed all these thoughts away and tried to make a final thought on this entire talk with Endeavor
'He is the Endeavor who has delayed my plans and is the reason behind the drop in my public Image. but... what are those plans and Public Image for... For hunting Villains right? but I do Vigilante work just for some spice in my life, as I have the power to do so.
And Endeavor is going to become my father-in-law. If I continue being a Vigilante, I will eventually have to fight Endeavor.... but is it worth it? This old man now just wants to reunite with his family.'
While I was lost in my thoughts,
"Shido, I am ready, Let's go or we will be late for the reservation at the restaurant." Fuyumi shouted from outside. I quickly got up from my seat and was about to leave the room but before leaving I turned to see Endeavor. He was sipping from his glass while looking at the table in a daze.
I then left the room and met Fuyumi who was standing outside the door. She was wearing a red short dress which matched with her red and white hair. She was simply looking stunning.
"You look absolutely stunning and marvelous." I just said whatever I had in my mind.
Listening to my compliment, she blushed and turned her head to other side.
"Don't waste time here complimenting me..... You can do that when we are... alone. Let's go. I don't want our first Valentine's date to be ruined just because we were late as you were busy complimenting me." She tried to scold me but the heavy blush on her face was not that something you should have when you are scolding someone.
I sighed at her antics and called for a taxi.
After entering the taxi, We sat on the back passenger seats.
During the ride to the restaurant, Fuyumi leaned on my body, rested her head on my shoulder and grabbed on of my arm and she hummed a tone.
It was all romantic but I had something else in my mind. I was still thinking about the talk I had with Endeavor. I finally made a final thought on this.
'Even if he is going to become my father-in-law, I don't care. He is trying to reunite with his family. I don't care. He is a hero and he is doing his job so what is stopping me from doing the same thing. I am doing my job, he is doing his. Even if I do this thing for some excitement in life but I am serious about this work.
The entire Night Raid depends on my decisions and existence; and I faltered with just a talk with an old man with family issues. I give Carl words of wisdom in GTA World and look at me here.
I just faltered from my motives even if it was for a moment.' I scolded myself for thinking that I need to stop doing Vigilante work. Maybe the reason to do this work is not that noble but the effects are more noble than most of the Pro-Heroes.
'Therefore if Endeavor becomes an obstacle to my plans....' I am now more determined to do what I have decided.
'I will have to deal with him properly not like the last time in Hosu City.'
