Chapter 1: Chapter 1 TEST
I always thought that when we die, we go through reincarnation without memories, but then why do I retain mine?
In my past life, I had no family; I didn't even know them. When I was growing up, I did various jobs to survive like cashier, cleaner, mechanic everything I could until I joined the military.
Boot camp was tough, but it introduced me to the life I was going to become accustomed to. I learned discipline and survival skills, made friends, and gained knowledge from my sergeants whom I'll always remember.

We got ambushed. It happened so fast that I didn't even know which one of my squad members died first. All I knew in that moment was that I was going to die. So, I sought cover and tried to take as many of them with me to the grave.
Once I was in cover, I grabbed a grenade and threw it at their vehicle to buy me time to inform my higher-ups about the ambush. When they answered, I told them that we had been ambushed and requested an airstrike since I was the only one still alive and we had been holding an important line. After a moment of silence, they informed me that it was on its way. So, I held my line for a good ten minutes, then...
Boom!
Everything went black. I looked around and noticed my surroundings were in a void of darkness. Then, I looked down at my hands and realized my whole body was like a gray light. I could move, but it was stiff and slow. I walked forward for so long that I lost track of time.
Then, I saw a white light. I forced my body to move faster, and as I reached out to the light, I saw my entire life flash before my eyes. My body felt like it was being pushed, and suddenly, the light became so bright that I had to cover my eyes.
I heard movement, and I tried to look around, but my eyes were blurred. I felt myself being picked up, then slapped on the ass and started crying. Finally, I heard, "Congratulations, it's a boy!"
Once my eyes stopped being blurry, I saw doctors and nurses, and then it clicked in my mind: I was reincarnated as a baby. Panic set in; I always thought about reincarnation because it was my childhood dream to have a normal life with a family.
I glanced to the left of the room and noticed a man sitting beside a woman who lay on the hospital bed, their hands intertwined. The nurse then took me from the doctor and gently passed me to my mother. As I gazed at my parents, a sense of warmth and sleep enveloped me.
The man was smiling through tears; he had black hair, brown eyes, a beard, and a scar on his face. I thought 'Well, I suppose that's my father.' I turned towards the lady. She was sweating and looked at me with a smile. She had black hair and bright purple eyes. I thought 'Her eyes... I've never seen anything like them.'
The doctor asked, "Do you have a name for him?" as he glanced at my parents. They exchanged looks, and then my father turned to me with a smile and said, "Theodore... Theodore Kain." Fatigued enveloped me, and I drifted off into sleep.
1 Week Later
After being discharged from the hospital, my parents took me home. It's not a mansion, but it's certainly larger than the small apartment I used to live in during my past life. Our new home has a nice front yard and a garage that can accommodate two cars, maybe even a bit more. It appears to be two stories tall. As we entered through the front door, my expression revealed my astonishment.
Looking straight ahead, there was the spacious living room. To the left, a staircase led up to the rooms. Under the stairs, there was a door leading to the garage. Toward the right, I could see the kitchen and the dining room, with a hallway branching off to the left behind them.
