After a grueling battle and earning the recognition of the relic, the Cloak of Levitation, Strange temporarily subdued Kaecilius. However, Strange, a rookie sorcerer, was delayed by the Kaecilius's Talk-No-Jutsu.
"What made you come to Kamar-Taj? To seek healing, just like us.
We all came in hopes of being healed, but Ancient One only taught us trivial tricks...
And the true magic, she kept it for herself. Have you never wondered how she has lived so long?"
"Huh? I know."
Strange looked puzzled.
"Although the Sorcerer Supreme forbids us from discussing it privately, there's hardly any sorcerer in Kamar-Taj who doesn't know.

Then came the predictable plot twist where the advantaged party is caught off guard by a verbal attack.
Kaecilius received reinforcements, and his disciples stabbed Strange, who had lost the Cloak of Levitation.
Fortunately, with the help of the Cloak, he acquired the disciple's sling ring, opened a portal to the hospital—
With Christine's assistance, he successfully defeated the dark disciple in his astral form and, with Christine's help, managed to save his own life.
"With this injury, I should probably go see Chairman Oaks... But I don't know where Chairman Oaks is."
As Christine stitched up his wounds, Strange finally understood his feelings towards her.
But now, he realized that he shouldn't involve her in this dangerous world.
