Chapter 98: New inventions

After two hours, Veron and Karina began to make their way out of the valley.

Initially, he only wanted them to spend just an hour there before they head back to the airport. But due to how happy she was, he had purposely delayed for an extra hour so she could fully enjoy herself and gather more of the fruits and seeds which had fallen from the trees.

He had already informed her that while she was in the hospital, he got the seeds and had them planted so that they would have germinated and sprouted by the time they would resume normal school activities. She looked grateful, but the information didn't deter her from picking the seeds and stuffing them in the small bag she came with. Her reason was simple: she wanted to experience planting them herself.

While he wasn't against that, it still left questions in his head. Why was she so interested in this particular tree? There were thousands of other trees, but she chose this one. Why?
