Chapter 68: I don't know what to believe

"Where do I start?" Nori shifted uncomfortably in her seat, reminding herself that she was doing this for their good.

"Start from why you have to tell them a different story," Veron answered, forcing his hands to stay put beside him. Just looking at her face alone and the strong urge to touch her came over him.

He moved to the small window in the room and gazed outside. That way, he wouldn't forget himself and touch her face or hands, or any other part of her body.

"We had a deal at home before we were allowed to enroll for College. I was not supposed to leave her side for any reason. Wherever she goes, I go. Wherever I go, she must be there with me. This is so that I can continue to monitor her and ensure she does not get into trouble at any time."

"What kind of trouble?" Veron probed
