Chapter 93: I can wait

Later that evening, Karina excitedly set out for Veron's house. She took a long time to decide whether to wear a dress or just appear in her normal day-to-day attire.

After considering that they would be going to a park, she settled for her normal clothes. That will guarantee her freedom to move around without stress.

On reaching the entrance gate, she found his car parked outside. Her brows drew together as he didn't tell her anything about picking her up. Also, it wasn't the usual car which the driver always comes with. It was the one he and Skye mostly use.

Karina looked around for no particular reason before she approached the car.

"Hello, Miss, are you going my way?" Veron teased when she looked into the car through the lowered window.

He had a black shade on, so she couldn't see his eyes. However, his words brought a smile to her face. 

Seeing her smile, Veron moved to open the door for her from the inside.
