Chapter 56: Don't dream of airplanes

"Good lord, Rina, what happened?" Nori questioned, relief flooding her the moment Karina stepped into the room.

"You're still awake?"

"Of course. How do you expect me to sleep when you're not back? I was so worried." Nori looked her over quickly before focusing again on her face.

"Sorry for making you worry." Karina apologized, moving to sit on Nori's bed.

"Did something happen?" Nori queried, narrowing her eyes.

"I was served vodka instead of water. I drank it and passed out." Karina explained and Nori's eyes stretched.

"Why did they do that? Was it Veron that gave it to you?" Nori became annoyed as she wondered why they would do that to her.

"No. It wasn't intentional. It was a kitchen staff that served me. A different kitchen staff poured the drink into a water bottle and kept it in the same fridge where water is stored. That was how the mixup came about." Karina explained, trying to calm Nori down.

"That kitchen staff should be fired. Are you alright? You look dull."
