Aldric's appetite was ravenous and insatiable, and Islinda wasn't about to complain. Her body felt both weightless and grounded, a paradox of sensation that left her deliciously breathless. She hadn't been able to sleep much, not with Aldric keeping her occupied all through the night, his body seeking hers again and again. 

She thanked the stars for the upgrade that came with her newly awakened Fae nature. It allowed her to match his unending stamina. They could go at it all day long, and she wouldn't feel drained—well, at least not in the way that mattered.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as Aldric's lips trailed hot, insistent kisses down her neck. She muttered something incomprehensible, her eyelids still heavy with sleep. Human or Dark Fae, she still cherished her sleep, but Aldric had other colorful plans. She felt his breath ghost over her skin, his hands roaming over her body with the assurance of someone who knew exactly how to unravel her.
