Chapter 1: Knowing My Inside

450 years and it's not really a simple thing to say 450 days had passed… and I'm here all alone still in this jungle world – not yet sure if I'm walking this life all by myself. Life seems so odd to understand sometimes and I admit that. Here in this house I always called my home, memories filled in my mind like it's just happened yesterday (that's the only way I can think of until something will help me get through this not someone in literal sense).

I just woke up from my bed and I got up once I saw the clock pointing to 7.00. "It's morning…then…time for me to prepare and go to the garden." In the house where I live and my only confidant is my half-soul, Clare: a wolf, coming from the descendant of the Royal Lycan Blood. Shortly to say, I'm a half-wolf and oh! Before I forgot I would like you to know that I'm a vampire at the same time. Shocking to make you surprise? Not much honestly. My half-soul greeted me by jumping over me once she sensed that I woke up. And to tell you the truth, she acts like my big sister too even if she turns out a wolf. She even tells me through our mind link how I have been sleeping, and if there's something unusual feeling that I felt from my body. That's her usual greetings to me and licking her tongue to my cheeks. I was about to get my towel and change my night dress attire when suddenly she told me, "You better show up to our garden first. There is something I want you to see and for sure you will like it". She said it to me with a wide smile on her face while her tongue out. I was about to answer why when she pulled me to open my door and urge me to be in a hurry to see it. "Hey… will you please be easy? Okay? You know I just woke up and I still gaining my energy back in me" that's the only words I can say to her since she leads me the way to go there. Goodness! Maybe she forgot that we live in a house where there are staircases. "I don't care of it okay? And besides, I'm excited to let you see it. Come on!"

I was wondering what on earth she wants me to see in our garden on which all I know it's not yet spring that will make our flowers grow bloom. Until something in my mind comes out when I finally open the door and feel the morning breeze like it dampens my face to greet me hello. It's a wonderful feeling for me. That is, all the little things right now bring me much happiness. Ridiculous to understand by many (kind of, yes). It's my only way to release my sadness and pain after all what was happened …390 years ago. I can still remember every single detail of what was happened before. And that tragic event makes me who I am now. Clara clearly understand this in spite of her urge of finding my soulmate. Thankfully, I'm a vampire at the same time. I can still control my possessiveness over things. Being a vampire and a wolf is such gift to me. I turn out to become immortal supposed to be only if I have my soulmate. But I'm 450 years old now and another 50 years will come – a day of judgment to me. If I reach 500 years old and yet I don't have a spouse, I cannot gain my immortality and my powerful ability will vanish at the same time. Me and Clara will forever be apart and die in ashes. Clara doesn't want this to happen and so I. But I feel my fate comes to an end. I'm losing hope for that. I was about to reminiscent a memory when I never realize, we reach the garden so fast.

For the other's information, my house is not simply nearby to our garden. Our house is in the middle of 32- hectare farm. Yes, you totally hear it. Too large for a country girl like me to live in such a big farm. I make sure our house is surrounded by many kinds of flowers, all in place in proper care. My favorite place is the pavilion, just closely near to the botanical garden where it can help me to think of the better possibilities to come. In short, my outlet of every missing piece in my life I want to bring it back. I inherited it from my parents after they realize there's a plot that will slay us all. That's where my parents died. I saw it clearly between my two eyes. We were ambushed by those unknown large number of slayers. My parents hid me together with Clara in the dungeon unknowingly will lead me for our way out to the bloodiest battle war. "Promise me to be brave enough! No matter what. You understand?" that's the last words that I heard from my Alpha King father. "Daddy! I can't! please let me stay with you and mom!" I said those words in painful cry knowing what will happen to our pack while Clara pushed me inside the dungeon in a hurry before the slayers will see us. I saw Dad fought those slayers before they would reach me and Clara. My Queen Vampire Mother arrived to rescued my Dad. He finds it hard to battle those who surround them as they fought to him in unison. My mom and dad fight together the slayers who surround them. There trusted members of the council were there too to help them. I thought for once they can kill all the slayers. But I was wrong. Something behind one of those slayers came. There I see the evil brother of my dad: Victor who lead the plot to kill my family and the whole pack. He said something that I sense my parents and their trusted members of the council got trembled. The other members of the council try to slay the brother of my dad but nothing happens. Instead they are the one got injured and almost in the state of their deaths. I wanted to shout for what I see but Clara do some spells that I turn out to be mute.

He almost hit his targets with his new found power when suddenly my parents approached his attacks that make all the members of the council escape from their death fate. I too was surprise upon how the members escaped that threat. Lucky are them I can say. But not with my parents. Victor did the brutal death of my parents. My parents can't anymore control the great power of Victor that they fall on their knees in front of him. He can't kill them into pieces as easy as that because he knows my parents had the power to repair their bodies if he will cut them or slay them using his sword. But he got the idea what are the weaknesses of my parents. The belt of death that was once long time ago kept by my parents to hid it from those who will want to steal it to them. He tied my parents separately to make sure they cannot be united even after death. He chants the evil spell that the belt of death will takes its effect. But before the belt of death takes effect, my parents had no other choice but to do what will be the best for us. They sacrifice their life for our safety by saying the death chant against Victor. My mom and dad upon saying the death chant saw their blood got united and they break the spell Victor wanted to do against them.

Mom upon catching her breath for the very last time holding dad's hands, curse Victor that one day will make him regret of what he does. That is, someone will kill him more than he thinks can't and the rise of the new vampire and wolf world will come out to slay him. He was on his great rage upon hearing it and I sense his looking for me to kill me in front of my death parents. He was about to march his packs to take me out from the dungeon when suddenly I vanished on his sight. I never appreciate this place the first time I saw it. What makes my mind too close to see the realization is the flashback of the fate of my parents had. I feel so helpless to them. I didn't help my parents in the battle. I was too young to be an orphan. Clara tries to calm me down but it doesn't help me. Instead, it makes me to cry out loud that makes me realize my parents are already gone.

"Hey! You're out of your mind again!", Clara said it to me as she tried to slap my face by one of her paws. When suddenly I realize where on the place, she wanted me to look at. "Okay, now we're here…." I said in reply while I shrug trying to hide the memory I think of. "What is this something you wanted me to look at?" still in confuse with what Clara wanted to happen. She leads me in my botanical garden – a place I chose to put my favorite rare flowers all over the world and in the middle of it is the Fountain of Angel. We both got stunned when we saw the unusual color of the water. From its colorless it becomes a shade of different colors found in the sky where there is a rainbow. "Wow. This is amazing. How does it happened?", I asked Clara while I am walking near to the fountain, still surprised to what I see. "This isn't a dream girl, this means something we've long for", her replied at me while her attention fix on what she sees. "Finally! You see it?", pointing towards the fountain. "Our long wait is over! I can't wait to see him in front of us!", trying to jump over me as if convincing me of something to happen. "What you mean? He's just near? Or soon he'll come?". "Oh…tsk.tsk.tsk.", shaking her head with dismay. "Again, Miss Chiara Katerina Wuldumbore are you dumb? This is about you and your ma- ". I stopped her when I remember something about, we never expect to happen for so long. "Yes, I remember it now… I can plainly feel that strong presence sooner we will encounter". A strong feeling that brings my body shaken and I don't know if it's a good idea to look forward for or to be stay calm because of the assurance that one day we will fight for.
