Chapter 100: Misinterpretation

Swoosh—!

As Gin watched the crackling bonfire he had conjured using his sprouted roots and fire spell, he glanced over at his cohort resting around the campsite with his cocoon.

Most of them struggled to find sleep, burdened by various worries and concerns. Elijah, however, appeared serene amidst the group, peacefully cocooned in sleep, unaffected by the troubles that plagued the others.

Swoosh—!

"How are you guys holding up?"

Observing the state of those who were sleeping, Gin spoke softly to the group who weren't picked to sleep by drawing straws.

"We're all right, sir."

"Definitely holding up, sir."

Heiter and Sergio gave their signals that they were all right while Glen and Oswald gave a wave, motioning the same situation as the other two.
