With the slap mark starkly visible on his face and a telltale flush on his cheeks, Zayne's appearance contradicted his words, casting doubt on his truthfulness.

Camelia could see how excited he was, and her face went flat when she looked at him.

But that man was still as casual as ever and continued to look at Camelia in that endearing but annoying way that was beginning to get to her.

Since this Zayne and her Zayne looked almost identical, her memory started playing tricks on her.

This man's face and habits replaced much of her memories of her best friend. It was…concerning as it was endearing.

It simultaneously made Camelia feel glad and scared, and she had no idea why she felt like that.

She just knew that her stomach had fluttered when this Zayne tried to get too close to her, and it made her feel irritated, yet she anticipated it simultaneously.
