"Why did we fail!?"

"We need to do better."

"We need to make Eris happy!"

"Kill the imposter!"

"Kill the fake!"

"Let's use it!"

"Use the weapon!"

"Let the destruction begin!"

The voices chanted in the pitch-dark room. Glowing eyes looked at the screen before them, which showed the dungeon and what was happening there.

All the people who entered were safe, while the dolls that they had sent to kill Camelia and her friends were all dead and shattered.

These dolls were not the most powerful weapons the puppets had, but these dolls had not been ordinary either. They had been made from A-rank monsters, at least.

But these puppets were broken as if they were cheap toys.

And that won't do. 

The puppets needed to make sure Eris was happy. That was what her magic and curse had conditioned them to do.
