Michael was in AP Chemistry and learning about energy. Midtown High was sponsored by the Baxter Foundation, Stark Industries, and Oscorp. All looking for new bright minds to give scholarships, and get them to come work for their companies. Which explained why Otto Octavius was standing in the front of the class teaching about energy.
Michael was barely paying attention because he was already way ahead, and he could actually tell Otto right now that the only thing he could do would be to make a miniature sun without the heat. But he decided to let everything run its course since that would be the best way.
He wasn't paying attention because he was having a stare battle with Peter Parker. He was guessing Peter's spider sense was still going off and he was watching him just in case he tried to do something. Michael just acted like he didn't know anything at the moment because they were in class.
Peter was starting to get annoyed and impatient by the fact that Michael wasn't making any obvious movements, and he looked at him as if he was confused. But then he started to believe he might actually not know anything. And then he started thinking. What if he was so powerful that he hadn't even awakened his powers and his spider sense was going off just because of his sheer power. But then he shook that thought because his spider sense was going off in a way as if it wanted him to approach this new kid.
As Michael started almost believing Peter was gay because he started looking him up and down the bell finally rung. Michael picked up the homework assignment and walked out the door. But as soon as he got out the door Peter grabbed him and pulled him into a bathroom. Michael could've stopped it, but he knew Peter was of no danger to him.
"What are you?!"
Peter immediately put force into his tone and demanded to know 'what' I was. Honestly I didn't even know anymore. The Spider-Serum was still just a serum after all. Except I had the zenith serum. The apex of serums that humanity would not be able to make for decades, and maybe centuries. So technically I was above human, but still just an enhanced human after all.
(Also gotta do a LOT of research on Marvel in between chapters. Because I plan to add in almost all of the characters who were main protagonists/antagonists for the Avengers, the X-Men, etc. Meaning people like Apocalypse, Selene, Sentry, X-Force maybe, Juggernaut, Romulus, She-Hulk, and people like that. But then again that might be too much work because of the vastness of Marvel.)
"I'm straight? So I would love it if you could not pin me to the wall like this."
I quipped back. I know it was a little facetious of me, but who cares.
"I mean what race are you. Are you a mutant, mutate, human?"
As soon as Peter said that I was a little astonished on how dumb he is. He's just saying names like mutant, and mutate willy-nilly. What if someone heard him as they were walking in?
"I would hope I'm human. And also I'm not gonna ask again to get your hands off me."
As soon as I said that he stared into my eyes for a few more seconds and finally let go. I was kinda starting to get annoyed by how paranoid he was acting. Like jeez Batman, who let you into this multiverse.
"Thanks I didn't want to have to kick your ass, but if you want more answers come meet me out in front of the school, when school's over. And bring your suit."
After that I walked out the door. I noticed Peter rush out the door to try to catch me, but with my martial arts practice I was able to blend in and disappeared into the crowd. I don't know why he's in such a hurry, and so paranoid. Is it because I'm black?
