Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Signs of the Escape

"Although today's actions were a bit risky, it seems it was all worth it."

After the Aurors Scrimgeour and Tonks had finished dealing with the scene and left, George lay on the Dark Wizard's comfortable bed, reflecting with a sigh.

Not to mention the fortune accumulated by the old wizard in Gringotts, even just this potions shop and the various potions and herbs inside were worth a substantial amount.

While this might not be much compared to the true wealth of the wizarding elite, it was more than enough for a young wizard.

It's like an adult having a million dollars might not be particularly noteworthy, but for a middle school student, having a million in pocket money would definitely put them far ahead of most students.

With this large sum of money, many things would become easier.

George had considered whether he should sell the potions shop after inheriting it and move into the Leaky Cauldron for safety. But he decided against it.

He would definitely need a private place like this to research undisclosed magic in the future. Besides, this potions shop might prove useful later on; selling it would be easy, but buying it back would be difficult.

"This child's body really does look frail. He'll need to eat more and build up his strength."

Sitting up, George walked around the bedroom and then stood in front of the mirror to closely examine his new body from this world.

He had been so focused on planning how to deal with the old wizard that he hadn't properly looked at his new form.

With golden hair, blue eyes, and a high nose bridge, his features were quite attractive, though the body was weak due to malnutrition and mistreatment.

But this was no major issue; with proper care, the body would recover.

"Fortunately, my inner strength isn't as weak."

George bent his knees and jumped, effortlessly reaching a height of over three meters, touching the ceiling with his hand.

This wasn't due to being a wizard and having such powerful jumping ability. Wizards do possess superior resistance and recovery compared to ordinary people, but unless they have special bloodlines like Hagrid, their physical strength is comparable to that of Muggles.

George's uniqueness came from the fact that his new body inherited not only the mutant abilities from the Marvel Universe but also its physical strength.

In other words, his current strength was the combination of eleven-year-old Dora's physical power and eighteen-year-old test subject 757's strength.

Although the abilities of test subject 757 didn't enhance physical strength like Beast or Wolverine, it was still the body of a normal eighteen-year-old.

In the past three months, besides training his abilities, George had also undergone physical conditioning and close combat training in the Marvel world, making his physical fitness superior to a typical eighteen-year-old.

To illustrate with rough figures, Dave's body could exert a force of 50 pounds per punch, while 757's body could deliver 200 pounds per punch. So now, Dora's and 757's combined strength was 250 pounds per punch.

For 757, adding an extra 50 pounds wasn't very noticeable, but for Dora, gaining an extra 200 pounds of strength was a significant change.

Especially since Dora's current body was very light, weighing only 50 pounds. The sudden increase in strength from 757 was even more apparent, making a light jump reach three meters easily.

His agility was now comparable to that of a cat.

"I'm practically a super child among children."

After checking his body, George began a thorough search of the Dark Wizard's bedroom.

He hoped to find any hidden dark magic books or research notes on black magic that could teach him powerful spells in advance.

Unfortunately, his search yielded nothing of interest—just the usual magical books one could buy in a bookstore.

It made sense; shops in Knockturn Alley are checked monthly, so even if the old wizard had such materials, he wouldn't risk keeping them openly at home.

"Well, since I didn't find anything useful, I'll let this body rest. It's been a long day."

With nothing of value found, George quickly freshened up and lay down on the luxurious bed, letting this body fall into sleep.

Meanwhile, he refocused on his Marvel Universe self.

In the Marvel world, it was daytime and time for routine training.

"It should be soon. I need to quickly learn a few useful spells!"

After morning training, George ate his lunch with a blank expression, but his eyes kept glancing at the group of mutant children gathered nearby.

He had seen a female nurse being harshly reprimanded by the facility's supervisor in the hallway.

The incident appeared to stem from the nurse's attempt to celebrate a collective birthday for the mutant children, who had never had a birthday celebration.

If his memory served him right, this event would soon lead to the nurse helping the children escape.

After the usual afternoon training, George's consciousness shifted back to the Harry Potter world as night fell in his Marvel self.

It was morning in the wizarding world.

He got up, prepared a hearty breakfast for himself, and retrieved the Daily Prophet delivered by owl. As he enjoyed his meal, he read the newspaper.

The meals at the experimental base were nutritious but not to his taste.

Before the Dark Wizard's death, Dora had barely enough food to eat, let alone worry about taste.

"Internationally renowned figure and author, Sir Gilderoy Lockhart, a third-class Merlin's Order recipient, honorary member of the Anti-Dark Arts Alliance, and five-time recipient of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award,

will be signing copies of his autobiography Magical Me at Flourish and Blotts from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM on August 21st..."

Seeing the flamboyant wizard in the Daily Prophet wearing his signature Forget-Me-Not blue robes, George sighed.

"If only I had arrived a year earlier, I could have been in the same year as the Trio. Maybe we'd be in the same house and dormitory."

Indeed, it was not 1991 but 1992, meaning he would start Hogwarts a year after Harry Potter.

Rationally, he thought it unnecessary to avoid the Trio solely for safety reasons.

Though the three troublemakers could cause issues, with Dumbledore at Hogwarts during this period, problems were unlikely.

The seemingly dangerous events were actually under Dumbledore's control. Occasionally, he could use the Trio to lower Dumbledore's suspicion, allowing him to access the Restricted Section of the library more often.
