"Charles may believe in the freedom, but I beg to differ. While you two were debating, I've already sorted out the issues. No one is truly free, especially the weak," Alex remarked, gazing out of the window at the passing scenery.
In Alex's perspective, the feeble are shackled by their lack of power. Faced with the oppression of authority, they have no meaningful choices. Strength, in Alex's eyes, is the key to genuine "freedom."
"Charles, Eric, are you still caught up in arguments about averting doomsday? I've just settled it for you!"
With a mere thought, Alex's psychic power swiftly located Trisk.
.....
The Crown Hotel in Paris.
The backdrop for the Paris Peace Conference.
At this moment, diplomats from around the globe congregated, witnessing the signing of a peace agreement between the United States and Vietnam, marking the end of the Vietnam War.
Following the signing, an additional agenda unfolded.
Trisk presented the "Sentry Project" to the assembled representatives.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we gather here to witness the advent of peace. We celebrate the roar for peace, yearning for it and embracing love for peace. However... true peace remains elusive."
Trisk, standing on the podium, delivered an impassioned address to the representatives of various countries.
"Ladies and gentlemen, a new adversary has emerged. They wield extraordinary power far beyond our imagination. Their existence poses an immense threat to all of us."
Trisk raised his arm, his excitement palpable. "This enemy has just undergone a transformation..."
However, as a tremendous psychic force inundated Trisk's mind, he was abruptly silenced, unable to continue speaking.
"Are you trying to say that Mutants are the ultimate enemy?" Alex's voice echoed, cutting through the unfolding scene at the Paris Peace Conference.
Alex's ethereal form materialized in Trisk's mind, wearing a faint smile as he gazed at Trisk.
"Who are you?"
Trisk stared in horror at the sudden apparition in his mind, a sense of dread coursing through him. Having dealt with Mutants countless times, Trisk recognized that he was face to face with a powerful Mutant.
"Who I am is inconsequential. Just know that you're a scientist who's passionate about mutation, studying the X gene with the goal of transforming yourself into a Mutant," Alex stated casually, standing within the recesses of Trisk's mind.
"I want to become a Mutant... I study Mutants because I want to become one..." Trisk's thoughts were manipulated by Alex. Scouring through his extensive collection of Mutant genes, Alex found a suitable match – the mole's gene.
"It's just as simple as that. I believe a scientist resistant to Mutants has now embraced mutation. Tsk." Alex remarked, tweaking the mole's X gene within Trisk.
Simultaneously, he reversed Trisk's thoughts. Once the gene was removed, the X gene autonomously awakened.
A glimmering light akin to a firefly floated upwards and descended into Trisk's consciousness.
In an instant, the point of light exploded, its dazzling brilliance rendering Trisk temporarily blinded, unable to discern anything.
He recalled the events leading up to this moment, yet... he was now a Mutant and his thoughts had been rewired by Alex.
"What's going on here?"
As the brilliance subsided, Trisk regained his composure, finding himself still standing at the podium, ready to address the diplomats. Before him, representatives from various countries awaited his explanation.
"Dr. Trisk, the adversary you were talking about... what on earth is it?" a participant queried, skepticism etched on his face.
"The enemy is definitely changing..." Trisk muttered instinctively, and suddenly, a surge of heat engulfed his entire body. It felt as if every cell within him was exploding, violently shattering, and then reborn.
"What..." The intense pain forced Trisk to scream and roar, cold sweat breaking out all over his body.
"Doctor, what's happening to you?" Dr. Stricker, Trisk's assistant, rushed to support him upon witnessing the distressing situation.
"Me..." The severe pain came swiftly and departed just as quickly. After a moment, Trisk had recovered.
Strength! Immense strength!
At this moment, Trisk realized that his body had undergone substantial changes. Muscles throughout his body bulged like steel, height remaining the same, but the muscles now possessed extraordinary power.
Trisk felt as though he could effortlessly smash through a wall with a single fist.
"Such Power..." Trisk stared at his hands, feeling the ground beneath him. With a light grip, he could break the very earth.

"Doctor, do you want to take a break?" Stryker asked with concern as he looked at Trisk.
"No! I'm fine!" Trisk dismissed Stryker's worry with a casual push, but the force behind it was unexpectedly powerful. Stryker, a physically robust individual, staggered back and collided with the wall.
"Doctor, you..." Stryker was visibly shocked.
Is this still Dr. Trisk? How could he possess such strength?
"Since you're okay, then continue telling us. What is this new enemy we're about to face?" A representative from the conference inquired.
Trisk hesitated. Now a Mutant himself, should he persist in promoting the "Mutant Threat Theory" and risk endangering himself? No, he thought. It can't be like this.
The smarter the brain, the more one fears death. Trisk quickly weighed the consequences of pushing the "Mutant Threat Theory."
"What's the enemy?" Delegates leaned in with curiosity.
"The new enemy is..." Trisk paused, then swiftly concocted an alternative narrative. "It's a mutated virus! Yes, a mutated virus! We know that viruses develop resistance to drugs. The more antibiotics we use, the more the virus mutates. If we continue this abuse of antibiotics, we'll face countless mutated viruses in the future!"
With a quick shift of his thoughts, Trisk found a reason for diversion.
"Cut..."
"Mutated virus? Are you suggesting we should completely ban the newly invented 'penicillin'? Dr. Trisk, if wounded soldiers on the Vietnam War battlefield hear your words, they'd tear you apart!"
"Hahahaha! Doctor, your sense of humor is truly something!" The delegates laughed, dismissing the topic. They folded their documents, rose from their seats, and exited the conference hall, paying little attention to Dr. Trisk.
"Doctor, didn't we come here to promote the 'Sentry Project'? We're an arms company. What does a virus have to do with us?" Stryker, puzzled, looked at Dr. Trisk, unsure of the direction he was taking.
"Let go of the 'Sentry Project'! It's a flawed idea," Trisk waved dismissively. "The grand mutation is our future research direction."
"Mutated? A mutated virus? Doctor, are you thinking of a career change? Planning to dive into the pharmaceutical industry? We are a defense contractor! Arms are our research focus."
Stryker appeared dumbfounded.
"Trust me, Stryker, mutation is the future!"
As Trisk felt the immense power surging through his body, he smiled inwardly, realizing that being a Mutant might just be a good thing after all.
At that moment, the conference hall's doors burst open.
"Trisk, your reckoning day has come!"
An enraged Magneto roared into the room, a powerful magnetic storm enveloping Eric's body. All metal objects in the hall shuddered violently.
"Stop! Eric, stop!"
Charles, accompanied by Hank and Logan, snarled as they pursued.
"Charles, you can't halt me! Trisk must meet his end today!"
The formidable magnetic storm roared, and numerous metal objects in the conference hall levitated, transforming into razor-sharp blades thrusting toward Trisk.
Trisk swiftly plunged both hands into the ground, almost instantly vanishing beneath the surface.
The blades Eric manipulated all stabbed into the ground failing to harm Trisk, who had safely retreated below.
"Wait, you've got it all wrong!" Trisk emerged from the ground and hastily shouted.
"Eh? What's going on here?"
Seeing how effortlessly Trisk dug a substantial hole, Eric stood there, utterly astonished.
"Trisk is a Mutant? Trisk... unexpectedly... actually... a Mutant?"
"Asshole! Trisk! You asshole!" Eric's anger erupted as he pointed accusatorily at Trisk. "Trisk, you're obviously a Mutant too. Why kill our own? Why?"
"Trisk is a Mutant? How is that possible?" Wolverine couldn't comprehend it.
The Trisk he knew wasn't a Mutant. What is happening? Is this still the "past" he knows, or has he ended up in the wrong place?
The Mystique he knew, Charles without a wheelchair, and Mutant "Doctor Dwarf" Trisk—none of these elements existed in the future he remembers.
"Shadowcat, where did you send me? This isn't where I'm supposed to be! You sent me to the wrong place!" Wolverine lamented internally.
"This... what's happening? Doctor, what's the situation? Weren't we supposed to fight against Mutants together to protect humans? You're such a great leader, unexpectedly you too are a..." Stryker was dumbfounded.
His idol had crumbled, his life beliefs shattered, leaving him soulless and uncertain about the future.
