Chapter 290: Chapter 290: The Ancient One's Solution

In a vast universe, on a lonely planet, the figure of the Ancient One appeared silently.

However, she was no longer wearing her robes but an elegant battle suit.

On her chest was the Eye of Agamotto, and the green sign of time was wrapped around her wrist.

As soon as the Ancient One appeared, she began casting a spell.

With her hands dancing, a green illusion of a magic circle slowly appeared in the sky. If someone were to look down from space, they would see the magic circle encircling the entire planet.

After a while, the Ancient One stopped and took a big breath. Her face stayed serious as she stared in a certain direction, as if waiting for something.

The Ancient One became distracted by the swirling sand as a gust of wind blew through, lifting the dust into the air.

At that moment, two strong beams of heat cut through the thick sand and aimed straight for the Ancient One.

The Ancient One didn't seem afraid. She raised her hand and used magic to make a magic shield that blocked the beams.

In the distance, A roar that was both animal-like and human-like echoed, and in an instant, a figure that looked like lightning tore through the sand and rushed toward the Ancient One.

It was none other than Jack, or rather, Doomsday.

At that moment, Jack was still fighting against the Doomsday Virus that had taken over his body.

He had let the spores take over without realizing it, which made him feel powerless.

Unfortunately, Jack couldn't kill the spores, no matter what he tried.

He had tried everything, but he couldn't get them out of his body completely.

It was like trying to peel off a sticky bandage that wouldn't come off.

He would often put in a lot of effort to get rid of some of the spores, only to have more appear a few minutes later. And the things that worked the first time didn't work the second time.

Even if only one of Doomsday's spores stayed in his body, if he didn't get rid of it all at once, it would quickly grow, and his efforts would be for nothing.

This really was a problem that gave him a headache.

Jack could sense everything happening outside.

When he almost attacked Wanda without realizing it, he was terrified.

Luckily, the Ancient One appeared in time, or he would never be able to forgive himself.

Now, it looked like the Ancient One had brought him to a strange planet in order to control him.

Jack wanted to warn her, but he couldn't find the words. He had no choice but to hope that the Ancient One knew how to keep herself alive.

The Ancient One levitated right as a claw was about to hit her, letting her avoid the attack.

The Ancient One was floating in the air and making hand gestures.

The ground opened up under Jack's feet, and several blood-red chains came out. They wrapped around his hands and feet immediately.

Jack wailed around like a crazy animal, but he couldn't break free from the chains.

The Ancient One slowly dropped, and her face showed no satisfaction, even though he was tied down.

She kept casting spells, putting one seal on top of the other to wrap him in a lot of different magical runes.

After what seemed like an eternity, the Ancient One finally felt it was enough. Jack was now wrapped up in a cocoon of magic runes.

Only his head was out of the cocoon, and he was still struggling and screaming.

"Let me see what has happened to you."

The Ancient One said, her hand pressing against his head. Magic power surged as the Ancient One closed her eyes.

When she opened them again, her consciousness had arrived in a brightly lit room.

"Welcome, Ancient One. You're probably the first person to get into my mind."

Jack's voice came from the front.

The Ancient One took a couple of steps forward, and there, Jack sat casually on the ground, watching the scenes from outside play before him.

Looking at herself wrapped up like a rice dumpling in the footage, Jack grinned,

"This posture... is really embarrassing."

"What exactly happened?"

The Ancient One asked, not knowing what to say about how well he was standing. She was very interested in discovering what had happened to Jack and why he had become like that.

"Well... it's a bit embarrassing to talk about it."

Jack chuckled awkwardly, glancing back at the Ancient One.

"But anyway, you must stop me from going out into the outside world, or many people will die."

"I already know that."

The Ancient One said, glancing at the Time Stone on her chest. She continued, "I've used the power of the Eye of Agamotto to cast a magic seal. It'll take some time, and you won't be able to escape."

"That's not necessarily true,"

Jack shook his head.

"If I weren't barely able to control my own power, the Time Stone alone wouldn't be enough to control him."

"He... Who is it?"

The Ancient One asked.

"he... He's a monster from another multiverse."

He briefly explained to the Ancient One about Doomsday's abilities and origins.

The more she listened, the darker her expression became. When he finished, she couldn't help but ask,

"So, knowing how dangerous it is, why did you bring him back?"

"I had no choice, and I need your help. How can I ask for your help if I can't even control this state?"

When the Ancient One heard this, she stopped talking and seemed to be thinking about something.

"If what you say is true—that the spores can't be killed completely and that they develop defenses based on how they die, making the same way useless the second time—it's a mess."

The Ancient One couldn't help but pace back and forth in the realm of consciousness while deciding what to do.

"I've got it!"

Suddenly, the Ancient One stopped, and a smile appeared on her face.

"If you can't kill them completely, why don't you try merging or even absorbing the spores in your body? Technically, it wouldn't be considered an attack since they are already doing the same thing."

"That's an unusual way to do it, but it's worth a try."

Jack's eyes lit up. He had to try it, even though he wasn't sure if it would work.

What if it succeeded?

The plan was set, but a new problem appeared.

How could he make his cells absorb and merge with the Doomsday Virus?

Setting aside whether he could beat them, his cells simply didn't have that power.

"Do you have any ideas?"

Jack had no clue and had to seek the Ancient One's help.

The Ancient One knew what he was asking and didn't keep him waiting. She promptly answered.

"The Darkhold"

Jack instantly realized, of course, that he remembered the Darkhold. He had even read it before, and its information was still engraved in his mind.

He hadn't thought of it before, but now, with the Ancient One's reminder, he immediately recalled magic recorded in the Darkhold.

When he helped Wanda from another universe, he dealt with a witch who had lived for hundreds of years. That person used the magic from the Darkhold to steal others' magic.

Even chaotic magic could be stolen.

This was a lot like how he absorbed energy, except that it was inactive, and this was active.

If the magic worked and he combined it with his energy absorption, he could steal the power of the Doomsday Virus.

Everything would be great once he took control of Doomsday's refusal to die!
